I take it you are building one of N7DDC's original PCB's??? That part is in very short supply as you have found. I don't know where you might find them. Mouser (Cat # 579-DM164142 ) have an evaluation board which contains the part if you cannot find one anywhere else. You would have to remove the chip from the Eval board and solder it to an original design ATU-10 PCB. Farnell have the Eval PCB also cat # DM164142 The shortage of this part is the reason I re-designed N7DDC's PCB to use the easier to find larger footprint parts. ie PIC16F18877-I/PT or -E/PT? plus the smaller part PIC16F1454-I/SL or -E/SL. I understand Kees still has some of the 'new' PCB's, designated Version 1.3x. It also uses 0805 parts instead of 0603.. See also (V1.2 of my board uses the larger footprint devices as above but still uses 0603 parts of the caps and resistors, like N7DDC original.) The larger footprint PIC's seem to be in reasonable supply.? eg Digikey PIC16F18877-E/PT-ND but they don't have the SOIC version of the PIC16F1454 Mouser have the PIC16F18877 Cat # 579-PIC16F18877-I/PT and the PIC16F1454 Cat # 579-PIC16F1454T-I/SL I don't know distributors in other countries so you would have to check if you wish to go with a new pcb. Farnell only have the PIC16F1454-I/SL in stock Cat #2305810 Please double check any numbers I have given above, if you purchase. If you cannot get the part, and don't wish to buy my version of the PCB, I have one PIC16F1877-I/MV here which I may part with at cost plus postage.? I bought this part from Farnell some time ago, Cat # 3577783. Please treat this offer as a last resort as the rules have changed here for merchandise postage and it's onerous for me now to post anything overseas.
