Re: Help setting up I-gate - FTM-500

Re: Help setting up I-gate - FTM-500
Well, the log file attachments didn't get here.
Also, it is always good to provide full details of your configuration.? I can see that KQ4LMY is likely your FTM-500 and KQ4LMY is also "aprs.fi via

Re: RF-PATH and IS(WIDE) ???
Do you perchance have Enables / Ports / Log All checked?? And if so, you should have some *.PKT files that hopefully contain all packets received by your station.? That should have all the details

Re: RF-PATH and IS(WIDE) ???
Hi Lyn,
My APRSIS32 is only on RF not on APRSIS.
Have a look at the attachment please.
Could it be that someone is Gating from APRS-IS to RF or mangling the PACKETS and confuses APRSIS32?
Or maybe

Right now I'm working in offline mode just to experiment with the map and such and don't want to flood the frequency with packets. Also, I was a bit surprised when I was working as an IGate a few

Re: Beacon Interval
May I ask what you're running that you think only needs to beacon once every 3 hours??? Seems extreme to me.?? With that setting, you might as well just never beacon at all?

Re: Beacon Interval
I see that when setting the min and max time in smart beaconing that it only allows for up to 300 seconds min, and 60 min max, so the 3 hour setting I had gets wiped out even after I accept putting it

Thanks, I'll have a look. Not being on the 390 it should be pretty quiet except for the ht that I'm running with it.

Re: Beacon Interval
Sounds like you have Smart Beaconing enabled and have a drifting GPS.?? Try going to Configure / GeniusBeaconing and check the Time Only box.? Then set the Max Time to the interval that you want it

Beacon Interval
Good morning! I've been trying to figure out how to make it so it doesn't beacon so often. I went to configure and smart beaconing and set the times roughly to every 3 hours, but I see it's still

Re: Auto restart
Any Windows-based auto-restart of the program will likely bring the program up in the same state it comes up when you manually start it.
What "suspended TX" are you referring to?
