APRSIS32 Released
Yes, the much hinted-at APRSIS32 client for Windows on your desktop has now been released! However, don't throw out your cell-phone just yet. The desktop client doesn't support GPS nor real

2009/12/03 - New Release!
Here's what's new in the APRSISCE6P091203.zip (In the Files section) 1) Map display dragging! You can now drag the map anywhere you want in addition to still centering on (and following) a specific

Passcode for Win32
Oh, one more thing. You'll need a passcode to successfully beacon from APRSIS32. You can use the same passcode that you have from your APRSISCE for Windows Mobile or any other APRS-IS client that

Re: 2009/12/03 - New Release! - Station Tracking
Lynn, I suspect I just missed it somewhere but how do I make the map track a specific station, not mine since I don't have an 'always on' Internet connection. Do I put that call in the 'add filter'

Re: 2009/12/03 - New Release! - Station Tracking
Dave, First, both the Windows Mobile and the Win32 clients expect an "always on" connection. They are first and foremost an APRS-IS (not RF) client and cannot get data without the Internet. With

Feedback solicitation
Ok, there's been quite a few new members of the group over the past few weeks so it's time to hear some feedback. Who of you is running APRISCE on Windows Mobile? And what platform is it on? Who

Re: Feedback solicitation
Hi Lynn Your request for feedback reminded me I'd intended to try out your win32 APRS application, which I've done this evening, it runs fine, picking off stations from APRS-IS, I found it very easy

Re: Feedback solicitation
Hi Lynn I've connected a GPS to the PC running aprsis32, but it isn't recognized by aprsis32. Is there something I need to do to enable GPS input? The GPS is on COM2. 4800 baud NMEA data. Regards

Re: Feedback solicitation
The version that is currently released doesn't support GPS on Win32, but only on Windows Mobile. I've got the next version approaching release that will support an NMEA GPS via COM port (or BlueTooth

Re: Feedback solicitation
Lynn, I'm running APRSISCE for Windows Mobile on my AT&T Tilt 2 phone. http://aprs.fi/?call=kc8nno-12 I've done some basic experimentation and have only had it operating while mobile a couple

Re: Feedback solicitation
I'm trying both windows mobile and win32 versions. The first in a Samsung i900 device with Windows Mobile 6.1, and the other in Windows XP. I like both of them very much. The wm version solves a

Re: 2009/12/03 - New Release! - Station Tracking
Lynn, I guess I'm too dumb to figure out how to make it track just one station, under configure - add filter I added (my sons call) b/W8TVI-12 and nothing, then changed it to f/W8TVI-12 and still
