You could post the APRS log activity for additional help.

As Lynn states, most often it is the TNC not being in KISS mode (usually says something like leading <C0> missing.
I am not sure what TNC mode the other applications require.
If they don't work in KISS, you can post questions on the <OpenCmd> and <CloseCmd> commands to change the KAM XL mode when APRSIS32 starts and stops.? There are batch files out there for the KPC3.? They "may" work with the KAM as well.
