The easiest way is to lock the KAM XL into KISS mode such that it is in that mode on power-up. ? Then use a Simply(KISS) type port in APRSIS32.

The wild card in all of this is although the APRSIS screen shows nothing received, and won’t transmit. the APRSIS log shows activity.
