Dual Beam Pro 9
Does anyone out there use "Dual Beam Pro" by Pro Antennas? https://www.proantennas.co.uk/product-page/dual-band-pro-antenna The Dual Beam Pro is a non-resonant rotary dipole antenna shortened with the capacity hat on both element ends. It needs ATU to tune; the element length is about 5m, and the price is ?270.00(1000W PEP). Compact and reasonable if it works well. Maker says that 10mH Dual Beam Pro gives; 20m @ 29degrees elevation 6.62dBi 15m @ 19degrees elevation 7.55dBi 10m @ 15degrees elevation 7.37dBi on both directions. HW? // HIRO, JJ1FXF

Need help on wabun 4
Hi A1Club, just arriving in Japan with jet lag and not yet an antenna up, I used my morse practice app: https://github.com/fritzsche/cmorse Just a simple small command line program written in C to practice sending. Key gets connected by Arduino emulating a USB Midi device. A simple decoder is showing the output of your keying in international morse. You can think of as a V-Band adapter, but optimized for low latency and the electronic keying done directly in the (close to) realtime audio thread. Just for the fun as I could not sleep I added wabun support, even I can't use wabun myself. As I might have messed it up I put it behind a compile time switch that can be activated in CMakeLists.TXT: target_compile_definitions(cmorse PUBLIC -DWABUN) The (wabun) table used by the decoder can be found in header file morse.h BEST 73 DE DJ1TF/JJ1QPB - Thomas

FW: [IntlCWCouncil] Morse Code key types proposed to be included in ADIF logging programs
Transfer from ICWC mailing list. Interesting approach, isn¡¯t it? 73+88 Atsu JE1TRV From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Howard WB2UZE via groups.io Sent: Tuesday, July 30, 2024 8:59 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [IntlCWCouncil] Morse Code key types proposed to be included in ADIF logging programs I am relaying this message from G3ZOD of FISTS UK who feels CW clubs should be aware of this proposal now that it is heading towards its final approval: Amateur radio programs such as electronic logbooks and services such as Club Log exchange QSO information using a standard format known as ADIF (Amateur Data Interchange Format). Currently this covers a wide range of QSO items such as call, name, QTH, mode, band, POTA, SOTA. Reasons to do this may be to transfer QSOs from one logbook program to another or upload QSOs to services such as Club Log and LoTW. While many typical QSO items are included, currently this does not include the type of Morse key used by either a QSO¡¯s sending station or the contacted station. Adding Morse key information to ADIF will allow possibilities such as transferring Morse key information between logbook programs and applying for awards or submitting contest logs that require use of specific types of Morse key. Tom VA2NW has proposed the addition of QSO items to ADIF that describe the type of Morse key and allow further information to be recorded about it (the technical details can be viewed at http://adif.org.uk/working/ADIF%20Item%20151%202024-07-28.pdf ). While this has not yet been approved, I thought it would be helpful for CW clubs to be aware of this before the changes become final. Addition of Morse key type and description items to logbook programs and other services is a decision for the individual program authors. However, once the ADIF changes have been approved, Morse operators will have the opportunity to ask their logbook program authors to include these features. 73 de Graham G3ZOD _._,_._,_

CW Operation Suggestions for DXpeditions 6
Hi all, This summer holiday, might be in the late August, I and my friend will be QRV from VK9W* Willis Island, we planned to QRV from 160m-23cm (HF+6m DX+2m DX+70cm SAT/EME+23cm EME), and I am the main operator on HF and EME. Are there any one who worked in DXpedition before or any suggestions for CW operations during the DXpediton? Anyway, the DXpedition is still planning and we are waiting for our radio license with VK9W callsign and land permission. The DXpedition might be delayed. Izumi BH6BEZ VY 73
