Captain Tolleys works on hairline cracks.? For bigger cracks i like using quick set epoxy. You could also cover the crack with a piece of tape.? But be aware that you cant get tape adhesive residue

I took the window frame partway off and can see where the water us coming thru screw holes at the bottom . The rest of the frame is dry. I have to wait for a few dry days before trying to re caulk

There's a wire that goes from the fan to the light, so it is possible for a leak at the fan to show up at the window below the light. But a leak at the fan would most likely also drip water at the fan

The perimeter caulking on my fantastic fan failed a few years ago and the same thing happened.? It works its way down to the bubble fram and drips.

Just an additional comment on the vent/fan cover locks.? I added an o-ring under the knob.? When you snug it tight with the screw, it prevents vibration from allowing it to turn while traveling.?

You are correct that it is water. We exposed some of the area and unfortunately, found it to be very wet. We are now trying to find where it is leaking, which most likely will not be an easy task.
