Re: Stabilizers
Painting is a great idea.? I had some folding wheel chocks that I drove over and left one time.? ?Still available but I haven't replaced them.? My 2009 came with 4 BAL stabilizers.? I don't know

Stabilizers
Hello Don: With them under the frame that is different. Our 2000 only came with rear jacks and I know they are only bolted through the floor. I think they get most of their rigidity from the wall

Re: Towing
Really?? Mine are under the main frame.? And although I am not advocating this. I found I could drop the tongue as low as possible, drop the rear BAL Type C jacks to the ground and lift both wheels

Re: Towing
Hi Gang: It isn't the capacity of the stabilizers that mater, it is what they are attached to. On my Aliner it is the OSB panel floor. Carl.

Re: Towing
Dan, I think that would depend on the brand and model of stabilizers you have.? My Bal Type C's are considered stabilizer jacks with a load capacity of 3500 pounds. See attachment.

Re: Trimmed Tongue Jack
Hehe, it sounds like it will work, but the YouTube demo video shows it installed on a pickup and trailer where the tailgate does NOT hit the jack.

Re: Towing
I had never seen the Jack-E-Up before. That is a great simple solution. I can¡¯t fully open the tailgate on our TV when the trailer is hooked up because it hits the jack. This would allow easy access

Re: Trimmed Tongue Jack
Years ago I had the problem of the jack hitting pavement, hard to release, etc. I solved the problem permanently by installing three 4" chrome plumbing nipples and longer machine screws, thus raising

Trimmed Tongue Jack
Hi Gang: We had our hitch and tongue jack catch on curb dips. After I straightened the jack, I trimmed the bottom off and also added a spacer to lift the jack an inch higher. It helps. Painted the

That brings up one other issue too.? When towing over a driveway dip, an extended hitch will come closer to the ground and may hit.? If that happens it may damage your tongue jack.? You can raise

When figuring length, don't forget to consider a parking situation where the front end is higher than the rear creating somewhat of a V.? This tilts the jack post towards the tailgate and is

A lot of those hitch extenders?say that it cuts your max tongue weight in half.? The same goes for extended ball mounts, which do the same thing.? Your Ridgeline has a 500 or 600 max tongue weight,

I got my bike rack installed. Moved the battery because I was worried about the handle bars damaging the window. Attaching pics.
