Those piggyback wire splices have a very small contact point and aren't that reliable.? They are especially prone to failure if they're exposed to water, and a little water does get through the vent into the fridge compartment.? I've had to go through all the wiring on a trailer and replace all the piggyback splices because I got tired of things not working.? I won't use those anymore.? Butt splices take a bit more work to install but are much more reliable.
