Locked MF: Something Wicked? (Mekare/Armand/etc) 2
OOC, Not mentioning Mekare until I hear back on where she may be, but got inspired... IC "What..." The soft voice, and the gentle hand on her shoulder told Maharet that he understood, at least to some extent, the severity of the situation. There was no annoyed tone, no sharpness, no accusation as their could've been upon seeing her in such a...diminished perhaps even disgusting state, hunched into a ball on the floor in the shadow of evening. Even if she wished to take an unnecessary breath to ground herself, she was unable, so constricted was her chest. "It's really bad," she managed,, hearing the misery and fear in hr own softly spoken words. "I don't know...if we'll survive this one, Armand. I don't think I can handle knowing all this...I don't want to believe in god or angels. That's...your thing." "Alright," he said carefully after a long pause. Silently he hoped she wasn't coming unraveled as some ancient ones were said to do. Not her. Not his beautiful one. "I'll bite. Did you see God?" A single dry sob escaped her as she remained hunched, arms around her knees in her flowing earth toned simple summer dress, long red copper curls falling curtain like over her marble features. The hair masked the upset and horror surely written on her face that Armand could clearly hear in her voice. "I dreamed of angels and devils, but no god. Still with angels and devils there must be a god. They are coming Armand, just like in that good book of yours I believed to be so silly and trite. What an awful world this is, worse than I ever believed if such things are allowed to ride. I saw them in my dreams...riding. Though I did not wish to see them I did. If tearing my eyes out would stop it I would!" "Maharet," He moved to stand in front of her, hating the feelings of helplessness that gripped him. She suddenly rose with a speed only a vampire could manage. "Make it stop, Andre," she said, slender hands coming out to catch hard at his shoulders. Only instead of making it stop, he saw what she saw when he sank his fangs into her neck. And then he blacked out. His mind unable to process the sight of the oncoming 4 and the carnage and waste they would bring. I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Headed to Sleepy Hollow (Sam/Jo) 6
¡°I wonder how much of that old story is true?¡± Jo knew the two likely had very little in common but it was hard not to think back on the animated movie that her teachers used to let them watch every single year at Halloween when she was a little girl. It was one of the highlights of elementary school¡that and recounting every single detail to her father when he returned from ¡®working a job¡¯. She walked outside headed toward the impala with a duffel bag slung over her should once they had finished checking out of the hotel. ¡°If Jenica is right and there's a weapon out there that could kill Eve¡what are the odds of us getting to it first?¡± It had become a nearly instinctive reaction for her thoughts to turn to all the ways things could go sideways after two years on the road learning everything that she could from hunting with Sam. (ooc: feel free to move it along if you wish.)

Locked The Foundry (Abby/Jenny/Jenica) 20
¡°Have some personal experience with that sort of thing, so, I get what you¡¯re saying.¡± Jenica had made a great many decisions based on not being able to see another way of doing what she¡¯d set out to accomplish. Her crossroads deal having been a prime example of this. But when all was said and done the former princess was someone who would do whatever it took. ¡°He¡¯s always had a knack for finding all of the right ¡®pressure points¡¯ for getting a person to do precisely what he wants them to do. For me, it¡¯s always been about my brother.¡± Brown eyes studied the building a moment when it was announced their destination had been reached, sending one last look back over her shoulder before following the young woman inside. The action one that had become force of habit long ago. Her attention momentarily drifting from one sister to another once inside. ¡°Makes for an interesting ¡®base of operations¡¯.¡± Abby looked up from the pages she¡¯d been reading when the others arrived. ¡°Hey.¡± Her gaze falling on the brunette who seemed quiet before moving to her sister. ¡°I think that I might have found something in Corbin¡¯s journal that could turn out to be your mystery item.¡± Lowering her eyes to its pages once more. ¡°He wrote something about a weapon forged centuries ago. It was supposedly the product of the team effort of an archangel, a demon, and a shaman.¡± ¡°I shudder to think of what could cause those guys to work together to forge a weapon.¡± Jenica considered that to be a major point of concern as two out of the three only worked together in particularly dire situations as they were natural born enemies. ¡°As a general rule two thirds of that combo don¡¯t play well together.¡±

Locked Darkly Dreaming 3
The yellow haired demon had to wonder if the whole thing was a ploy. The only reason he was still listening was because the tormented soul of an ancient Goetes went through the trouble of escaping the fiery pit, and not being able to get to any senior demons settled on him. The fires of Hell were beginning to take their toll, the Goetes was beginning to assume a fiery semblance himself, only his eyes remained steady as they have been, through the millennia, if rumors were true. "So you are telling me that an entire chunk of Hell is gone all of a sudden?" Rudolph incredulously wondered, his mind set on his previous dreams of the lovely Salome. "And if it is gone, how is this a threat to anyone, instead of an advantage? Where would it go, what would it do that could hurt us?" Yerbler added, but the man once named Tantalos was not to be swayed. "You must tell your superiors it is an emergency. It wasn't just any part of Hell, it was the Pit of Treachery. You know who dwelled there, don't you," Tantalos demanded and Rudolph began to feel less at ease. It was just like in his dream, minus the pleasant parts. The hills were moving, some figures were rising, surrounding him and only that three part glyph that he was inspired to draw, deflected and diffused their oppressive presence. He was able to protect himself and Salome too, with another gift from his mysterious benefactor, but only with some considerable luck. After all, the man who became the embodiment of treachery did not even bother with the likes of him, using his might to fly upward, ever upward, with the dark terrain itself exploding under the pressure of his overwhelming flight. Rudolph never met him, but heard of him. Heard of his never ceasing movement underneath, that made Hell itself quake. He had considered him merely a dark legend, was half intrigued by him, as part of Hell's darker lore that was no longer taught to new demons. But seeing him even in a dream, defied all expectations. Perhaps, it was the feel of his unfamiliar might, the sense of treachery that spread its wings in every direction and hurt his very innards. Only Crowley's happy song combined with the glyph allowed him to shake off the memory of the disturbing dream. And now what, what was he to do now, he wondered and repeated the three part glyph that may have once represented the convergence of the rays of the sun, but appeared to protect demons despite such unusual affiliation. "So, where would Judas go, if unchecked? To prey on what exactly?" Rudolph patiently wondered, almost certain that his dream happened to be true. Tantalos nodded his approval of the guess and began fervently whispering into Rudolph's grudgingly presented ear. "Never thought I would witness such miracles in my day," the yellow haired demon admitted with a small smile, wondering what Crowley would make of this nonsense.

Locked Salvatore Boarding House: Outside (Mihnea/Elena) 4
Elena took a few deep breaths while moving at a leisurely pace hoping that a walk would help clear her head. If she could accomplish that then maybe she stood some kind of chance at figuring out what to do about Damon. It was a decision that should have been theirs to make but he wouldn't even talk to her. In that instant when as if appearing from thin air there was some strange man there next to her she had at least for the time being forgotten about all of her relationship issues as she'd very nearly jumped out of her skin due to being startled. ¡°How did you¡? Who¡?¡± In her mind the wheels were already turning as she had her suspicions about how it was done and what that made him. ¡°Wait¡Sleeping Beauty? How do you know about that whole curse thing? Who are you?¡± The longer she stood there the more questions she had which was probably what kept her from screaming in spite of doubts about his intentions that and she knew she needed to calm down to keep her wits about her. ¡°What do you mean¡Damon control?¡± There it was again¡that fear though this time it was for what might happen to him. Her gaze squarely meeting his despite knowing she was in no position to follow that up with any kind of threat. She swallowed somewhat anxiously before uttering her next words. ¡°I don't know that there's anything I can do. If he¡¯s flipped his switch or otherwise moved on then nothing I could say will mean anything to him.¡± It was entirely possible since all she had gotten out was his name before he¡¯d hung up the phone. But even as those fears were voiced it was clear from the look in her eyes she wasn't the sort to just¡give up on someone. For a moment she forgot the danger she might have found herself in when responding to that bit about fun. ¡°You have NO idea.¡± Just when things were starting to go well there was the curse then everything apparently snowballed from there while she was ¡®sleeping¡¯. (ooc: its cool, easily enough fixed. suddenly i¡¯m seeing a bar and doing shots lol. Makes me kinda flashback to her in that bar in Georgia with Damon back in season one lol.)

Locked Salvatore Boarding House: Porch (Klaus/Tatia) 14
¡°Elena?¡± Tatia asked with concern in her voice as there appeared to be something wrong when her doppelg?nger turned away from the door though she'd walked away without responding. Nervously biting her lip as she tried to decide whether to follow though she supposed it could be nothing more than needing to get away for a little while after their conversation about the men they had loved. What else could it have been? Her concern was replaced by a feeling of nervousness at hearing his voice though she turned to meet his gaze all the same. ¡°Yes, of course.¡± No matter what her last memory of his brother or him might be she needed this chance to talk with him¡to sort things out one way or another. ¡°I imagine there are a quite a few things both of us never got to say.¡± She knew that who she had chosen back then was something that might possibly require an explanation as one had never been given and she didn't know how he would feel once he knew. Maybe relieved. Maybe furious at the one who she'd sought advise from. She took a deep breath deciding it to be as good a place as any for starting this conversation. ¡°I know that you must have always wondered why I chose Elijah.¡± It was a decision that had not been an easy one to make as she'd cared deeply for both brothers and perhaps rushed a little in making it because stringing them along was something she felt was unfair. ¡°It was a choice that shouldn't have been rushed but¡I thought that I was being unfair so I turned to someone who knew you both better than anyone for advise and she steered me towards Elijah. Your mother was so¡¡± Truthfully she had been rather insistent as if she'd been giving it a great deal of thought prior to their conversation.

Locked Town Square (Matt/Nyssa/etc) 19
It was eleven months ago that Nyssa was 'sprung' from her prison as it were, a debt she wasted little time in repaying, and ever since she has called the small town of Mystic Falls home. There was understandably a period of adjustment given an entire century had come and gone while the Ferryman's daughter was trapped in what so many called 'Hell'. She wondered at what they would have thought about the real one...a place she only glimpsed through one of her father's journeys. She walked around the town square with raven hair spilling down her back coming within inches of her waist. Giving the appearance of a young woman in her twenties, she wore a form fitting white tank top with a a black broomstick skirt and matching black boots with a bit of a heel. There were fleeting moments when 'checking in' on those she resurrected but decided to leave things as they were instead of risking stirring anything up. Some might be grateful while others might lash out because of fear assuming they even remembered her at all. It was possible those who were witches might have a clearer memory of those moments before rejoining the world of the living. As for the rest it might feel more like deja vu if they saw her again.

Locked Mikaelson Property: Inside the Barn (Hayley/Samantha) 3
While Hayley would never admit as much she did have her doubts about how this conversation might play out with all that had transpired since giving this woman her word. To be honest it wouldn't surprise her if Samantha was unable to trust a single thing she said but either way she would at the very least have made the effort. She pushed open the door to the barn stepping inside only once she was certain that neither Freya nor Elijah were present. ¡°Here goes nothing.¡± Words spoken barely above a whisper as the Hybrid approached their captive. Seeing a werewolf chained up was never easy but under the given circumstances it was even harder to stomach. ¡°We need to talk.¡± She stated while kneeling down in front of the dark haired woman to meet her gaze. ¡°Oh we do?¡± Samantha bit out as she stared angrily at the woman who had decided to grace her with her presence. This all started because she'd been careless enough to assume that anyone connected with the Mikaelsons would be capable of holding up their end of a bargain. And now she was expected to what? Accept whatever scraps they offered? ¡°You¡¯re pissed. I get it. But just hear me out, okay?¡± Hayley stared back at the bound werewolf seeing anger burning brightly inside those brown eyes. If her luck held this conversation would go relatively smoothly and without interruption. Samantha gave the chains binding her wrists a tug subtly searching her immediate surroundings for something she could use to pick the lock. ¡°Now why would I do a thing like that?¡± Inclining her head as she carefully studied the face of her captor not really expecting to hear anything that would come even remotely close to changing her mind. All of this time of quiet reflection had brought the anger she felt at the Malraux being hunted to the brink of extinction five years ago bubbling back to the surface. Because of the ambition of a damned vampire she lost everything¡her family¡their pack. ¡°I¡¯m here to offer you a deal.¡± Hayley began seeing no reason to draw things out any longer than was necessary. ¡°A deal?¡± Samantha inquired a bit skeptically. Hayley gave a single nod before continuing. ¡°If you help us protect our daughter then¡you get a room in the house¡as a guest¡no more chains. This comes from Klaus.¡± She just hoped he wouldn't change his mind on the matter but with the safety of their little girl at stake and his focus seemingly on surrounding Hope with those who could help protect her it was unlikely he'd go back on his word. Holding off on bringing up turning Samantha until she saw whether she'd be willing to take the deal. ¡°And the wolfsbane?¡± Samantha was tired of suffering its effects on a daily basis if she never experienced them again it would be too soon. Not that she entirely believed this little deal to be on the level but if it were¡it might be worth considering. ¡°If you take the deal¡I can safely promise no one will be injecting you with wolfsbane any time soon.¡± Hayley assured while taking a brief look around the inside of the barn then letting her gaze return to the werewolf. ¡°As much as you might hate it¡we¡¯re your best shot because anyone looking to take down the Mikaelsons will be gunning for you because without you there's no saving them from Marcel¡¯s bite.¡± Samantha was on the fence about taking this deal until that little matter of a gigantic target being painted squarely on her back was brought up. Not being one to possess suicidal tendencies there seemed only one plausible option here. ¡°Fine. I¡¯ll help protect the girl.¡± She hated having her fate so closely tied to that of the Originals. (tbc, open) (ooc: if the player interested in Hayley is still present feel free to respond to the post¡if not¡.)

Locked Salvatore Boarding House: Porch (Elena/Tatia/etc) 8
Elena hadn't meant to get so quiet when left alone with her doppelg?nger it was just that her thoughts often tended to drift to things she'd been told about the last five years. How had things gotten so messed up? Time and again excuses were made whenever Damon screwed up but this time was different. Tyler was dead. These days she didn't know how to feel anymore¡whether to love or hate him. Maybe that's what he wanted. It was hardly the first time he did something terrible to drive a wedge between himself and someone else. But was there any coming back from this? She took a breath trying to push down the pain and anger welling up inside her though one look toward her ancestor confirmed it hadn't happened soon enough. What could be said? How could she even begin to explain why she simultaneously wanted to both hug and drive a stake through his heart? One hand reached into her pocket withdrawing a cellphone she scrolled through her contacts tapping on his name then quickly hitting the home button to prevent herself from making that call. Her eyes slowly turned to her ancestor who had a look of concern on her face. ¡°I¡¯m okay.¡± She softly promised. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª Tatia couldn't say whether she believed that assurance after witnessing the range of emotions that swept across the younger woman's face. Perhaps she was simply trying to cover up her own pain in order to help someone else. ¡°If you need to talk about¡Damon¡¡± She started though let that hang there instead of finishing. She sent a quick look over her shoulder toward the house as her own thoughts drifted to Klaus who inspired conflicting emotions. If not for their explanation of certain things she might have been far more frightened of him. Though she imagined the fact he¡¯d never once hurt her could also be playing a huge part.

Locked Making New Friends (Renfield/Franceska/Rebekah/etc) 47
"You expect me to list my enemies for you?" Vlad gave a short incredulous laugh when Rebecca asked who those were that he didn't wish to return from the dead. "How about this. If you don't know them when they pop up, you let me know who they are and I'll check into it. If they're anyone who needs to be...dealt with, they will be. Consider it my service to your strange little town," he ended coldly, the tone laced with slight sarcasm. Franceska clutched her head and sighed, smiling slightly at Rebecca. "You faille to understand, Gargoyle Princess," Vlad said, sounding annoyed and tired. Franceska merely frowned at the phone, allowing the silence to speak for itself as she didn't bother to fall for the stupid gargoyle bate. "I'll find out how your vampiric races are different and get back to you, alright? For now I'm done," Franceska said, then disconnected before he could argue. Renfield sighed sadly, tone lamenting as he spoke. "Once we planned to be done with him...I would be free of him. I felt there was no place for him I my new and far improved life...yet he still lingers like an unwanted infestation of BOTHER!" He practically snarled the last word and Franceska burst into laughter reaching to take his hand. "Thank you for your help. We appreciate it...And as for those we wouldn't wish to see returning from the dead...the thing is there is no reason to think any of them would. Just...Vlad being overly paranoid...And in truth I guess he has had reason in the past, but things change and we're not back in the dark ages or whenever he got screwed over," she said, tone exasperated. She finished her wine, then Renfield followed suit. "Our thing is science, and all this shit makes me nervous," Franceska complained, eating Rebecca's gaze. She felt she should be honest as much ass she could. I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Donovan Residence (Rayna/etc) 2
Rayna was mildly suspicious of whoever was behind their seemingly miraculous return from the grave despite being grateful that she'd been reunited with her father. It just didn't make sense why anyone would bring either of them back to life. What could they possibly hope to gain? Unfortunately the answer continued to elude her and maybe a part of the huntress was thankful for that fact. It was the first of many curve balls she dealt with though her relationship with Matt Donovan was by far the most surprising. He¡¯d found them wandering on the edge of town and put a roof over their heads. Not a move she'd expected with their history and his connections to a few of the town¡¯s vampires. When asked to help restore the Founders Council with better training neither hesitated to agree to lend a hand with this endeavor. The three of them sat down to discuss the terms as even though the sheriff hated vampires there were certain ones he wished to remain off limits. She didn't have a problem honoring his request so long as no one started dropping bodies. If they did, well then¡all bets were off. Something both she and her father made clear from the start as their first concern was the safety of the people of this town. The brunette walked through the living room of the house the trio shared knowing that her father was either out and about or in his room reading a book. Perhaps she would head out later or maybe wait for her boyfriend. That word still sounded so odd even though it's precisely what Matt was to her. (ooc: forgot to include it in the subject line but there's also a tag for Matt in the Katrina/Nyssa thread)

Locked Exploring The Salvatore Property (Kol/Davina) 30
Davina closed her eyes tight against the flood of memories of her time spent trapped with the Ancestors who dealt out their brand of punishment for past decisions. The experience of having her soul shredded to nothing one she prayed would never be relived. But at least they could no longer hurt anyone else, the Ancestral Plane was no longer tethered to this world. She drew a calming breath as her eyes opened to look around trying to get her bearings. To clear her mind of all the images threatening to overwhelm her in that moment. It was a battle she waged within herself ever since the first minute she found herself back among the living here in Mystic Falls. Sometimes it was bordering on impossible to keep from worrying for those she cared about. Had Lucien killed them all in his bid to take down the Mikaelsons? The young witch knew that regardless of how much Kol at times hated his brother he'd never walk away when the family needed him neither would Marcel. But there was another side to the story, one that involved anger and uncertainty. She simply couldn't get the question of whether he had supported the decision his sister Freya made in regards to using her as a conduit to access the power of the Ancestors. Maybe she had been wrong in believing Kol cared about her. The brunette continued exploring the property surrounding the Salvatore Boarding House while keeping her guard up. She liked these people but with everything that happened back in New Orleans it was a little hard to be trusting right off the bat. They took her in...gave her a place to stay and even explained a few things. She had to admit the doppelg?nger thing was pretty weird. Speaking of which, she felt a rush of sympathy toward the one called Tatia because of her past with the Mikaelsons. She had to wonder if either brother had even loved the young widow at all. Inclining her head a little while looking up at the sky before starting out of the woods back toward the house.

Locked Out Of Town (Damon/Lexi/Valerie) 25
Damon sprinted through the woods for a bit, winding up on the road out of town. He'd finally gotten himself under control, quelling any small part of him who MAY have considered feeling something when hearing Elena's voice. He knew that eventually they'd all be relieved to be free of him. And anything interesting going on with people returning from the dead had nothing to do with him...so he'd be of no help. Not that helping was an option and they all should know that. They were deluding themselves as people always tended to do when it came to him. Eager to get as far as he could from Mystic Falls he sprinted, eyes scanning the road for a car with whom he could hitch a ride to...well anywhere that wasn't here. So long as the people driving weren't servants of Dracula he thought dryly with a small twitch to his lips. He really should've killed those 2. People may return from the dead or whatever, but vampire movies were certainly not going to become real any time soon. The 2 had obviously known enough to make the claim so probably belonged to Klaus or some lesser vampire. Perhaps said vampire even made the humans believe he was the famed Count... Liking the flair in that idea, Damon found himself chuckling with amusement. Playing with humans, making them useful...too much trouble for him most of the time but he got the appeal. I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Salvatore Boarding House: Kitchen (Klaus/Bonnie) 13
Bonnie was doing her best to keep in mind this might be one of those rare instances when he was genuinely here seeking help with something that didn't involve the harming of those ¡®near and dear¡¯ to her. ¡°It sort of became like this project for Caroline after the funeral. She and Alaric wanted to create a safe place for those like their girls to be able to learn not only a regular education but how to control their abilities.¡± The past year hadn't been an easy one¡some were adjusting better than others but she supposed that was to be expected. She led the way into the kitchen where they stood the best chance of not being interrupted at this hour. ¡°So, what is that you need my help with?¡± The question passed her lips within an instant of turning around as she lightly leaned up against the counter with arms folded above her chest. She remembered it being said this would be about protecting his daughter as Hayley had told her that much over the phone.

Locked Salvatore Boarding House: Porch (Bonnie/Elena/Tatia/Klaus) 8
¡°I doubt he would remember. It's been what¡a thousand years since I knew them.¡± Tatia knew her tone might leave room for doubt but there was little that could be done about it with all of this being so new. Of course, she wanted to believe the Niklaus she had known would never harm her. But with how things had gone in those woods with his brother doing the unthinkable it was hard to believe things would play out any differently in these strange times. Convincing herself of having been long forgotten seemed the best solution given the alternative was endless worrying about how things might play out should they cross paths. ¡°I should be okay.¡± She added rather unconvincingly. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª ¡°Why don't we grab some ice cream¡.then go sit outside and talk?¡± Bonnie thought it something they could all use right about now since between the three of them it was a toss up as to whose luck was worse in the relationship department. Though in the category of ¡®worst breakup ever¡¯ Tatia was hands down the winner since her ex actually killed her. Without waiting for a response she began collecting spoons and bowls which were then carefully placed on the counter. ¡°Always seems to help with most problems.¡± Stopping short of suggesting cheesecake as it felt a little too ¡®Golden Girls¡¯. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª ¡°That actually sounds¡really good.¡± Elena decided the focus needed to be on helping her ancestor first given the news of an ex with whom that sort of history was shared would be swinging by for a visit had to rattle her. She walked over grabbing the ice cream from the freezer while her friend dug through the drawer until the scoop was found. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª ¡°Caroline insisted on doing that too.¡± Tatia remembered feeling oddly more at ease afterwards something she attributed more to time spent talking things over though the ice cream had proven quite delicious. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª ¡°That sounds like her.¡± Bonnie replied with a slight pause having thought about shooting the blonde a quick text to see if she cared to join them. No doubt she was otherwise occupied as her focus as of late was primarily on the girls and this school. She finished dishing out the ice cream then put the remainder away before handing each doppelg?nger a bowl. Quickly grabbing her own from the counter she led the way outside to the wicker chairs placed on what passed for a porch. A bit relieved when it hadn't taken long for them to move beyond awkward small talk and begin talking about what was bothering them. (ooc: feel free to have Klaus show up if you're ready to.) Locked New Mikaelson Compound (Klaus/Hayley) 20
Klaus stood in the balcony of what was used to be the Mikaelson compound in the middle of New Orleans. His home was falling apart. He suppose it was his own fault. He had come to terms with that. for five years he suffered for his family for his daughter. It was probably the hardest thing hes ever done. He had missed so much crucial parts of his daughters life he could never get back. The more he dwelled on those thoughts the angrier he got. He had to calm himself. his daughter needed him now more so than ever. He fully intended to keep his promise to his daughter to keep her safe. the devil himself couldn¡¯t stop him. He just wished he knew what this magical force was that was trying to harm his daughter. It didn¡¯t help matter that Rebecca and kol were gone. That was 2 less Mikaelson down. He wouldn¡¯t voice it aloud but he already missed Rebecca and even Kol to a point. He didn¡¯t know what freya was up to. He suspected he find out soon enough and then there was Elijah. He made Klaus somewhat happy to see his brothers smile, even though it was towards the mother of his child. Klaus knew Elijah and Haileys feelings and he wouldn¡¯t interfere. Yet another sacrifice he would make. Then there was Marcellus. He could still feel the anger radiating from Marcel. He couldn¡¯t take back what happened. He wasn¡¯t even sure Marcel could even forgive him ever. Perhaps he would have to live with that. Marcel would always be his son to him. Klaus looked up to the sky. His thoughts of everyone else made his mind drift to Camille. If it hadn¡¯t been for her in his subconscious he probably would have gone insane. She had been his strength. He was going to try and hold up his promise to her. he was trying to change for her to be a better person. it was so hard without her. Klaus shook his head free from his thoughts. He had to focus. He turned and left the balcony to check on his daughter. Perhaps it was time to take her back home. At least there they could make a better game plan. Hours later¡.. Klaus was relieved to be back to the secluded house. Though it did make him uncomfortable that Hailey had picked one near mystic falls. He had just put his daughter in bed to rest. He could hear the other moving about. he ignored it as he stood on the porch. Something was bugging him. He didn¡¯t know why. He just felt on edge. Perhaps it was everything going or just recovering from being tormented. He sipped his drink watching the surroundings.

Locked Salvatore Boarding House/Kitchen (Bonnie/Elena/Tatia)
Tatia rose from the chair slowly moving about the living room with fingertips running along each piece of furniture. While her mind wandered to a time long ago when she had chosen life instead of throwing herself on her husband's funeral pyre. Her choice one frowned upon by those far more traditional minded and often whispered about. Looking back always left her with mixed feelings considering the outcome of later involvements. She could recall having found love again, sometimes even second guessing the choice made back then. But what good would that do? Even if one of them were to walk back into her life, could it be that she might suffer the same fate but at the hands of a different brother? Opting to find a distraction from her last memory of Elijah as it flashed through her mind she headed towards the kitchen where the others had disappeared to. "Should I go back..." Leaving that thought unfinished as a head shake quickly put a stop to it. ----- "No. You're fine. We actually need to talk about something." Bonnie dreaded this conversation as telling someone the brother of their killer was coming over to chat likely wouldn't go over well. But giving her a heads up was the kinder approach when taking into consideration her own complicated past with the Mikaelsons. ----- "Did I do something wrong?" Tatia asked with worry in her voice. ----- "Oh no, it's not that...it's...well..." Bonnie sent a quick look in Elena's direction continuing after a brief pause. "Klaus is coming here. I don't know when but...he is." She hoped the direct approach was the right one then again even if it wasn't there was nothing that could be done about it now. Seeing the brief flicker of panic and sadness in the other woman's eyes she felt compelled to offer an alternative. "If you want...someone can take you into town or on walk through the woods so that you won't have to see him?" She was almost tempted to insist that her best friend accompany her so that both would be at a safe distance from Klaus Mikaelson. ----- Elena needed to focus on something other than her troubles with Damon, of that she was reasonable certain because solving the riddle that was their complicated relationship would just have to wait. She stepped up beside her doppelg?nger placing a comforting hand on the other woman's arm. "Maybe things have changed. I mean, when Elijah..." Don't go bringing up the elephant in the room. Was that the right phrase? Shaking off the question she decided to take a different approach. "Being a vampire was totally new to them back then. I'm sure he wouldn't...I mean that is...I don't think Klaus would hurt you." Brilliant attempt at reassuring her!

Locked Salvatore Boarding School - Kitchen (Bonnie/via text Damon) 13
Bonnie stood in the kitchen sipping on a cup of coffee quietly reflecting on life. It had been a year ago to the day since the younger Salvatore had died in the tunnels running beneath Mystic Falls and his brother decided to leave this place in his rear view mirror. She held off on sending him word about Elena having wanted it to be a surprise but had sent him a few texts stating how he had better get his ass back here. Her expression becoming troubled as she thought about the two women who had returned from the dead. One they had found three months ago on the road which ran in front of the Salvatore Boarding House and originally been thought to be Katherine while the other was a young witch from New Orleans who was found yesterday while she and Elena were out and about. Both had connections to the Mikaelsons. But neither seemed interested in stirring up trouble. Even so, it made her wonder who brought them back and why. It also raised the question of whether there were others out there they hadn't crossed paths with. She found herself holding onto even the faintest glimmer of hope Enzo might be alive again. It was a long shot and most likely there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of it happening but still he hadn't been around in almost a month. Maybe he had decided to follow through with stepping out of her life completely. Something that was brought up shortly after he had pointed out how she couldn't spend the rest of her life in love with a ghost. And maybe that was true, but it was hard letting Enzo go.

Locked Headed to Mystic Falls (Lexi/Valerie)
Lexi looked back fondly on a recent reunion with an old friend who finally found peace after struggling with guilt for the better part of his immortal life. She didn't normally spend too much time dwelling on the past but finding herself in the company of someone who had a history with Stefan brought back a lot of old memories. Maybe after paying her respects she could revisit the idea of heading to New Orleans. She lowered her hazel-green eyes to the small lapis lazuli stone that adorned the elegant silver ring worn on her right hand. Briefly glancing toward the woman steering the silver luxury sedan along the winding road back to Mystic Falls. --------------- Valerie was given the cliff notes version of the events which transpired after her departure and it led her to decide the time had come to return. Part of her wondered whether she should have made this trip sooner. "I..." Shaking her head deciding against small talk as her mind raced with possibilities. ---------------- "Wonder who else might have been given a 'second chance'?" Lexi was curious about that herself. But there was also the more troubling question of... "Or who is dishing out those 'second chances'?" She very much hoped that Damon headed for the hills after his brother's death considering what happened nearly a decade ago. Being staked wasn't an experience easily forgotten even if one hadn't harbored a desire for revenge.
