Re: Brushless mini lathe motor torque chart.

The high speed spindle speed of 2,000 rpm the motor speed is 6,000 rpm is 100 cycles per seconds.
?
Low spindle speed of 100 rpm motor is 300 rpm and 5 cycles per seconds.?
?
DC motors just adds more voltage to keep same rpm.?

Hope helps?

Re: Brushless mini lathe motor torque chart.

I did find a graph for VFD aka brushless motors.??
There two charts one showing at giving frequency the other chart and different frequency/rpm high and low speed.?
?
?
This on the DC pm motor.
Note high speed on this is switch high on left and low on right
?
?
By comparing the charts you figure the correct replacement motor.

Yup! By sharpening the B face, you'll restore the chip clearance that's been abraded away from normal wear.

It'd probably be worth the nuisance of making some type of guide to keep the same relief angle on all the teeth.

Re: Jupiter 1 , pencil sharpener

Look at a youtube video "restoration of an antique German pencil sharpener". It may help with the shape of your screws. They may even be able to provide you with some measurements of the screws in question if they still have this item. Paul M

American and UK you can go more. But need American or UK different thread shape.?

Then two ways to go back to the day built or fin. Something close and re-tap hole and usd today's screws.

Re: Jupiter 1, pencil sharpener.

It gives you an idea but it may not be totally accurate. I assume these screws thread into your gauge. Do they seem to fit fairly well with not too much play? If so, I would try a screw that should work in the holes where the missing screws go. You should be able to determine the correct size by the inside diameter of the holes as compared to your gage. It may be that not all the screws used in this item are fine threaded or even imperial. Hope this helps. Paul M

In addition, if you turn your own screws with an imperial lathe, make sure that you use a 60° tool, NOT 55°, otherwise, especially with? small screws, it will easily break.

Hi Dave. I’m in the UK. I left school with an engineering qualification, then it was imperial measurement.

I gained an indentured apprenticeship as a precision toolmaker, ?with a European company, hence metric. But at college it was imperial.

I can mess it up in either system ?
