Now that it's been overcome by events, don't forget LMS has a good troubleshooting guide:

Re: Large work holding
I have made wooden fixtures using "T" nuts and a center spud to mount stuff
to a face plate.

Re: Large work holding
Often, there are ways to get around some limitations.? A possibly easier setup than the faceplate is to bolt the flywheel to something smaller and then chuck that something into the 4-jaw.?

Re: Large work holding
All,
Thanks for all the suggestions.
The flywheel has 4 big holes so I will drill the holes out and mount it on my 4 jaw scroll chuck as suggested by davesmith1800.
Hopefully I can get it turned on

Re: 7x12 Motor Won't Turn On
Problem solved.? It was operator stupidity.? I had pushed the emergency shut off button down before I replaced the fuse.? Forgot to open it back up.? Argggggg!? Oh well, at least I didn't start

Re: 7x12 Motor Won't Turn On
??? Unplug the machine , label all the wires to the board & double
check a few time than pull the board & start looking for burnt
components & give the board the sniff test . Sometime yer nose can

Re: 7x12 Motor Won't Turn On
ya could pull the motor & hook a volt meter to the leads & spin it with
a drill & see if ya get any voltage out . I'd try to see if it spins
with a tool battery first .

Re: 7x12 Motor Won't Turn On
Yes, that's the lathe.? Pulled the brushes and they are both about an inch long - I'm assuming it is not the brushes.

Re: 7x12 Motor Won't Turn On
Replaced fuse.? Motor still won't turn on - new fuse didn't blow.

Re: 7x12 Motor Won't Turn On
??? I believe ya can test the motor by hittin it with a good cordless
tool battery . Are these boards SMT or they still through-hole ? boards ?

Re: 7x12 Motor Won't Turn On
If anything is “blown” it is most likely one of the MOSFETs on the motor controller PCB and not the motor. It costs about a buck to replace if you can DIY, or more like $100 to have someone do

7x12 Motor Won't Turn On
Had a crash awhile back while using a milling bit on my Grizzly 7x12 mini lathe.? Motor stalled and fuse blew.? I put in a new fuse, but motor won't run.? Are there any other circuit breakers/fuses
