开云体育Yes.? If you log into the groups.io site to read messages you will see that Mute button to mute the topic. If one has individual messages sent to your email address, there's a link at the bottom of the page to mute the topic.? You have to login to groups.io to finish that process.? Sorry if I was unclear on that earlier. Hope that helps. A couple of comments.? Messages have been a bit low at times.? No idea as to why.? Getting back on topic, I still need to put my HF 93212 lathe back together after making some adjustments to the carriage.? That's a project for a warmer day. Re: ANSWER TO GUIDE RULE - OT
开云体育All that stuff is covered in the group guidelines which I get just about every month from a bunch of the groups that I'm in including this one . animal On 1/28/25 11:05 AM, David Wiseman

Re: ANSWER TO GUIDE RULE - OT
The problem with just saying only post regarding a mini lathe is After you have and have ask or read itea about a mini lathes.? There nothing left to talke about.?
So group could go months or some groups years before the next post.?
?
I saw with the Old Yahoo groups. The group just stop.?
?
The Off Topic drives the group till next on Topic.??
?
So moderator has decided the direction OT to drive or Topic only with dead time.?
?
At time you Manufacturers had group and moderator was only interested in things related to product. What happened is one's the group need to answer questions moved on. I would look at history and see this and did not join.
I am a moderate on a lot larger group than this group and thriving with lot Off Topic/subject.
It only few rules?
?
A few simple rules to follow.
?
1) No political
2) No ads
3) It ok with Any one's Wife / Girl friend?
4) It is ok for any one's child/ grandchildren see it too.
?
It could use OT or OS in first part tile but after we talk about it was decided it was not need. On this group of look at my past posts I use Off subject here.?
My latest posts is on subject?

Re: My new 4 jaw chuck for rotary table
Like I found out is keep simple.
I have had Rotary Table that two to put on mill. That is a pain and takes time to make a simple job.
?
If only? you need for a 5 min job and takes 45 minutes to change to table and back to the vise. It make twice if really need to ise the Rotary table.?
?
This small I chuck? up in the mill vise in a minute use small 4 jaw chuck to hold part and 10 minutes later I have a finished part.?
?
Setting up for both the mill and mini lathe There times I using the mill and need to do a quick and the mini lathe is not being used.??
?
Am also setting up for drilling for same reason.??
?
When manufacturing I do simple milling lathe had only few mills . Make a jeg and use woodruff type or keyway.
?I have use a Aloris tool post too.?
?
Photo is off the Internet NOT MY LATHE..

Re: My new 4 jaw chuck for rotary table
I believe the Z axis would be the height?of the milling attachment off the rotary table! That is a big piece you picture. On Fri, Jan 24, 2025 at 12:32?PM davesmith1800 via <davesmith1=[email protected]> wrote:

Each and every member of this group got the TERMS OF USE email on Jan1. It said, in part:

Re: ANSWER TO GUIDE RULE - OT
开云体育Hi guys. Sorry to come to this a bit late, I have 2 points though. ? * I’m not sure what the problem is, as anyone can add OT to the title, as I have done. So why the continuing debate ??? ? * I am amazed at some of the replies, not only to this but others as well. Where part of the reply is in understandable English and the rest is gobbledygook !!!? I can understand and forgive ?differences where clearly English is a second or third language. But where part of the message shows the writer understands English, I despair. Doesn’t anyone read through and correct any more ? ? ??????????????? Ellis ? ? I forgot rotary table. If rotary table goes a mill it is OT. But if goes Mini lathe it is $&#^$ I guess it depends on if you interested read a about putting on a mini lathe if on topic or off. ? If do not like what they wrote then? write moderators and say OFF TOPIC and ask to have it delete post so no has anything thing to read.?? ? The bottom for group to be interesting is have something to read about and better to comment on too. ? In November of 2023 I finally purchased a mini after reading about mini lathes since 2005. The resoan thinking a mini lathe in 2005 changed by time purchased.? I chose to write about here and gave everyone here some read and write about.? ? No one goes out buys a lathe every month. My first was a garulatoin present it only down payment on a $10,000 today same lathe cost $80,000 had for over 30 years. My next had for 20 years. The point is most do not go out and buy new lathe very often. So hard for very here to say a lot? .? So we all here need more than jest the mini lathes to talk about or this would a very slow group ?
