There are (at least) two versions of the "ubiquitous" 4x6 saw. (wow, i
finally got to use this big word, and what's more, i even spelled it
correctly) 8-)
Besides a heavier upper frame, the most obvious difference is the blade
guides. The heavier frame has cast blade guides, that mount "inboard",
while the lighter frame has "outboard" mounted pressed steel guides.
I don't know if there is a difference in the gear sets, but there might
be.
