Jim,
Don't forget to check the worm gear housing for sand. It's been
reported that some have sand and other crud mixed with the gear lube.
I checked mine and did not find this condition, but it's worth the time
to check. You have to lean the saw so that when you take the cover off
of the gearbox, the lube does not all run out.
