To all interested members,
For the last eight years I have occupied my spare timr collecting
information on Contax rangefinder lenses. I am happy to say that the
task is now finished and I am self publishing the results. This
monograph is thirty A4 pages of information on 52 Contax rangefinder
lenses including versuch (experimental or prototype) and one hundred
and fourty three variations of these lenses. This is information
that can't be found anywhere else in the English speaking world. As
an example I have listed twenty identifiable versions of the 5cm/50mm
f2 Sonnar and fourteen versions of the 5cm/50mm f1.5 Sonnar. It also
has photographic illustrations of 36 of the lenses mentioned. The
monograph has been printed on glossy stock with a high end digital
photo copier. It has a heavy weight soft cover and is wire bound to
enable the the book to be opened flat on a table for easier reading.
The cover is still in the print shop, so within a week copies will be
ready for sale. Now for the nasty bit, the price, which will be
US$30 and will include packing and air mail postage. Buyers can pay
in US$ cash, Western Union or International money order. If you are
