Re: Production date of my Super Ikonta IV

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hello William,

Check out the serial number of the camera, starts with a letter followed by numbers, normally it should be in the leatherette.

Contact Henry Scherer, Zeisscamera.com.? He overhauled a Zeiss Jena Flektogon of mine that was frozen up, and he might be able to assist.

I am seeking a Zeiss repair person for my 180mm f2.8 Sonnar in reflect housing, circa 1937. I just made this purchase and the mirror came loose in shipping. It is out of its retaining frame and may have damaged inside lens surfaces. I need someone to fasten the mirror back in its retaining frame and inspect the lenses.

Recommendations? I am in California, so that would be my first choice. However, quality and cost of work are most important.

ABOUT Yahoogroups

Yahoogroups is a free mailing list service. You can set your own email distribution list by going to or see information about the ZICG mailing list at

If you are a member of Yahoo AND you are a member of ZICG, you can view the archive of emails online as well as change your personal settings (such as digest mode etc). You may also view the subscription list.

ZICG used to be listed with Coollist. Poor reliability and even poorer customer service saw ZICG move in May 2000 to eGroups. William Lurie organised with nine other members to keep ZICG ad-free and paid eGroups a fee to drop all advertisements from emails. ZICG became ad-free from November 5, 2000. EGroups became a possession of Yahoo in December, 2000. Hence ZICG became a Yahoo group.

---
POSTING TO ZICG

The ZICG list was set up for people who want to discuss anything Zeiss. ZICG is a collection of Zeiss authorities and enthusiasts brought together through the medium of email to share knowledge as friends. Anybody can be a member and nobody has ever been banned.

You cannot send attachments. If you want to share a file, put it on a website and post the URL to the list. Remember that .vcf files (vcards) are classified as attachments. As a member, you can upload photos and files to the ZICG archives with Yahoo and then send notification to the list.

Please do not post HTML or specially formatted messages to the list. If you can, turn off these options on your email program. Some ZICG members cannot read your message if you send it in those formats.

Sale or Wanted adverts are acceptable on ZICG. All adverts must be about Zeiss equipment. You can post them at any time as a dealer or collector. Please do not abuse this policy, regulations will be set if members become dissatisfied with excessive sale/wanted adverts from the same individuals. It is acceptable to send an auction URL as long as it maintains a relevance to discussion on ZICG.

Probably for the Voigtl?nder VSL 1
TM SLR (IMO TM stands for Threaded Mount, M42 in this
case)
Also sold as the Ibaflex M 102
TM

Interestingly Claus Prochnow in his
Rollei Report 4, page 923 writes about this lens :

2.8/25mm Distagon, Carl Zeiss,
Oberkochen
Produced August 1970 till start
1991 by Carl Zeiss and license holders
From mid 1974 onward with HFT

Distagon PR V TM, sold, price not
known

my guess this is probably same as
the Voigtl?nder Color-Skoparex PR V TM which is also
mentioned in this paragraph
1977, price DM 408,--

Hans

Re: Need help with Contarex Bullseye -- addendum

An addendum to my original inquiry: I have been informed, by a dedicated experienced Zeiss Ikon collector far wiser than me in this area, that the piece I need is called the meter baffle, not the diffuser. So, I lost my meter baffle and would like to find a replacement. Baffling indeed!

Thanks,

David Silver

Subject: [ZICG] Need help with Contarex Bullseye

?

Hi folks,

Between here and there and the next place, the diffuser that bayonets onto
the selenium cell "cyclops eye" exposure meter of my Contarex got lost!
Does anybody have a spare available, or know where one can found? Thanks!
