Book about early SLRs available online
Hello dear Zeiss collectors, In the past weeks I have been in correspondance with Tom Lutton, who in 1992 published a book with facts about early SLRs, the "Lutton's List". After providing me with a copy, he asked me if I could scan his book and publish it online. So here you have it:? Scroll down until you see the sixth book, "Lutton's List", where you will find a link to download it freely in PDF. As it was written many years ago some information is out of date, but it is still an interesting source to find out the specifications of the early 35mm SLRs. I hope you enjoy it. Regards, Daniel Jim¨¦nez ? |

Re: New Zeiss Book & Emanuel Goldberg
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý?One source of information about the development of the Zeiss Kinamo (ICA before that) Is Michael Buckland¡¯s book, "Emanuel Goldberg and His Knowledge Machine¡±. ?That book is a good history of Goldberg and his association with Zeiss and the development of the Contax.?? Some of the members of Zeiss Historica have a DVD of movies shot with the Kinamo. ?I found the book fascinating. ? My copy of Larry¡¯s new book is on the way and I¡¯ll be looking for info on the Kine cameras. Maurice On Jan 23, 2016, at 1:38 PM, rolf eipper rolfs-3d@... [ZICG] <ZICG@...> wrote:

Re: Lenses for Tenax II
I have checked the 1938 Zeiss Ikon Hauptkatalog and a number of other contemporary sources and although there are pictures of the Sonnar 4/7,5cm lens for the Tenex II, I have failed to find a lens schematic.? However the January 1940 Zeiss ikon brochure ¡®3 Movikons¡¯ does have a schematic for the Sonnar 4/7,5cm lens for the Movikon range of cine camera and I have added a jpeg of the relevant page to the Photo directory in ZICG. Triotar 8,5cm Lens - Contax or Contaflex?
For the more adventurous than I, there is Triotar 4/8,5cm listed as a Contax lens on a Ukrainian website (aukro.ua) which I think is actually a Contaflex lens.? Good luck,
? Regards, Simon Worsley |

Lenses for Tenax II
Does anyone have a picture of a schematic or diagram of the optical formula for the 7.5cm f4 Sonnar for the Tenax II? This optic was also made in movie camera mount and for the Robot. A jpg or equivalent would be most useful.
Also, has anyone ever seen, own, or have a picture of the other prototyped lenses for the Tenax II? Thiele lists: A Biotar, 3.5cm f2, two each. A Triotar, 4cm f3.5, two each. A Tessar, 4cm f3.5, two each. and a 7.5cm f3.5 Tessar, one each. Any additional information concerning these rare beasts would be most appreciated for my research. Thanks, WES LODER |

Re: New Zeiss Book
Thanks, Klaus - USD57 for shipping to EU was a bit off-putting. But FYI Lindemann's price is now €189, add €11.50 for shipping to EU (free in Germany). From Werner G?tze yesterday: "I got an information from the State quite in the last 10 Minutes, the book is ready now. Unfortunately the price hase rised in the meantime and the Dollar is very high since more than a half year. I have calculated the price now to which I will have books in about 6 weeks." So, looking forward to delivery in March. Piers
