Our next volunteer opportunity at Metro Caring Foodbank is coming up on Thursday, February 20.? We will meet at 11:30 for a short Council Circle before starting our noon - 3:30 pm shift.

?

ZCD has been sending volunteer crews to Metro Caring for a number of years - so we typically have a few experience folks that "know the ropes".? We work in the warehouse sorting incoming food, stocking the shelves in the market place, checking community members in for their appointments, weighing and checking community members out, etc.? We can take a crew of up to 10 people.

?

This is a great opportunity to live out the Zen Peacemakers International tenets of not knowing, bearing witness, and taking action in a practical way in our community.? I will send out another email with all of the details when we get a couple of weeks out - but just wanted to get this on everyone's radar for now.?
