NorEaster First Round Matchups
Hi all,
Just 32 days until the NorEaster!
Anyone looking for first round matchups, please use this YASL email list.
This year's TD, Charlie Hamilton,?hamiltoncharliew at gmail dot com?is watching this list, and can help, if you wish.? You can also self-pair, we're pretty laid back on matchups, especially for Round 1.
Best Regards, Mike

Spot on, you don't have prisoners as a priority, but they can spell the difference between a win or a loss sometimes, Vic.
The moral of the story is, as the attacker, you control putting yourself in situations where a rout might cause a surrender. It's something to be looked out for anyway, but even more-so here. Thanks, Carl

The Germans. The Americans fall short on the "provided that" provision. Carl
Interesting. The VC are: “ Provided the Germans have not amassed >= 8 CVP (which would result in an immediate German Victory), the Americans win at Game End if there is no Good Order German MMC in any hex with a coordinate numbered ≥ 5.”
So, let’s say that by the last turn, the Germans have 6 CVP, 4 of which are prisoners (so they would get 4 more CVP for them at game end).? At Game End, the Americans have satisfied their own VC. Who wins? i.e. does the German VC include the game end “bump” for the prisoners? The way the German VC is worded, it’s not entirely clear.

Finally, not too many Germans in this one, so they may not have the luxury.
