The moral of the story is, as the attacker, you control putting yourself in situations where a rout might cause a surrender. It's something to be looked out for anyway, but even more-so here.

So, let’s say that by the last turn, the Germans have 6 CVP, 4 of which are prisoners (so they would get 4 more CVP for them at game end).? At Game End, the Americans have satisfied their own VC. Who wins? i.e. does the German VC include the game end “bump” for the prisoners? The way the German VC is worded, it’s not entirely clear.
