So when he needed to call an emergency ambulance a month ago, he never even thought about cost (no charge here in the UK). We were surprised to get a bill for 995 Swiss francs (the hospital is only half a mile from our Geneva apartment), but duly forwarded it to the insurers. Apparently they pay half? of one call out per insurance year, so we did have a sizeable bill to pay still. But needs must – and if he needs one again he will just have to call it whatever the cost. ? I don’t know how this works in the US or Australia, maybe nobody else here is even slightly surprised by this circumstance……. ? Beryl, I hope things are going reasonably well in Florence. Maybe one day the family group will all look back and laugh over the memories they make now. ?
