Thanks Beryl, I hope he will be. It seems it was a perforated ulcer. Very messy and taking a long time to recover from (15 days in hospital didn’t help although it was a really nice hospital and ward).

Poor DH is having a terrible year, back in February a chance blood test done in Switzerland (and not routinely done here in the Uk), showed a possibility of prostate cancer, and three months of tests showed he has an aggressive form. Hoping to start a? few weeks of radiotherapy soon….and fingers crossed for a good outcome. It is disconcerting to think that being off work with exhaustion may have unexpectedly saved his life, because they do hope they have caught the cancer in time!

Meanwhile we are still struggling with administering and settling the three estates of the three deceased parents, caring for MIL’s affairs, plus in my case zipping between here and Geneva, and here and Glasgow for mother in law. I yearn for a quiet, settled life. Thank goodness for knitting and dog walks.

Wishing everyone a good summer, not too hot or too wild…..I love seeing people’s pictures on Facebook.
The cost of an ambulance in Australia varies from state to state but where Peter & I live it costs various amounts depending on circumstances. We have the cost included in our medical insurance.
