YOUTH ROWING Our junior on-the-water season is already in swing, but it's not too late to join! Registration is open until March 29th.
Practices take place at our boathouse on Monday through Friday, from 4:15 - 6:30 PM.?Visit our??for information on our varsity and novice programs and registration options.?
Please note! Need-based financial aid is available for eligible youth participants through our??program. ? |

PARENT MEETING:?
We will be holding a parent meeting at the boathouse on?Friday, March 22nd, at 6:30 PM?(at pickup time after practice).
Please be sure to attend if you are able, as we will be sharing critical information about the season ahead.?We will be meeting outside, so dress warm! You are welcome to bring a portable chair. |

ADULT ROWING Our adult spring season will open on?April 1, 2024.
This year, in addition to our sweep rowing options for adults, we are excited to offer a coached sculling program!?Enrollment levels permitting, we will include novice, club and competitive tracks for sculling. A minimum of 6 participants will be required to run the program.
Practice times for our novice, club and competitive teams for both sweep rowing and sculling are as follows:- Sweep Rowing:?Monday, Wednesday?and Friday, 5:30 to 7:30 AM.?
- Sculling: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 5:30 to 7:30 AM.
Prior experience is required to participate in these programs.
For beginners, we will be offering learn-to-row programs starting on May 6th. These three-week sessions will be offered throughout the summer and will prepare participants to move on to our novice rowing team.

MASTERS SPRING MEETING:
This year, our masters spring meeting has been divided into two sessions. The first session took place at our indoor training facility on March 15th, after our Friday morning practice, and covered programming and enrollment options for the upcoming season. A recap of the meeting will be sent separately to the masters team, so stay tuned!?
The second meeting will be held at the boathouse on the first day of practice, on?April 1st, at 6:15 AM.
At this meeting, Coach Linda will be sharing her goals and plans for the season. We will also be covering other important information about the season, as well?as discussing captain nominations.?
Snacks and hot beverages will be served! Please dress warm and bring a chair. We look forward to seeing you bright and early! |

 | ? We are thrilled to announce Linda Hannum as our new head masters coach!?Linda has worn many hats here at Northampton Community Rowing. As a competitive rower, coxswain, board member and coach, she has been instrumental over the years in shaping our community in many ways. Now, she is ready to build up the masters program!
We are excited to work with her in this new capacity and looking forward to taking our masters programs and our community to the next level. Congratulations, Coach Linda!

YOUTH SPRING MEETING March 22nd, 2024, 6:30 PM
The spring meeting for youth rowers and parents will be held at pickup time after practice on Friday, March 22nd. We encourage all parents and rowers to attend, as we will be providing important information about the upcoming season.
? MASTERS SPRING MEETING April 1st, 2024, 6:15 AM
The masters team will be holding a spring meeting to kick off the rowing season on Monday, April 1st, during our scheduled practice time. All adult rowers and prospective rowers are invited to attend!?
Dress warm and bring a chair! Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks will be served.?Contact?Wendy Bernstein, our masters captain,?for more information.? ERG RAFFLE Our first annual erg raffle was a huge success, raising nearly $1000.
This year, we will be raffling off another Concept2 rower. Tickets will go on sale on March 25th. Stay tuned for more information on how to get yours!
Proceeds will be used to support our programs.

Meet the 2024 Board of Directors |

?The NCR Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Sally Linowski will be returning for another term as president for 2024, along with Amy Rhodes as Vice President and Becca Washut as Clerk.
In addition, we are delighted to welcome Cynthia Martini as our new Board Treasurer!?Cynthia moved to Northampton in June of 2022 and started rowing with NCR as soon as the moving trucks were emptied. She previously rowed with the CRI Women’s Comp Team in Boston. Cynthia retired in October of 2023 from Harvard University, where she was a Senior Project Manager in the University’s Office for Sponsored Programs.?Prior to that she worked in Project Management at EMC, and spent many years with the Gillette Company in Accounting, Financial Planning and Project Management.
Retirement has given her the opportunity and time to play a more active role in supporting Northampton Community Rowing and she looks forward to being a part of the continued growth of our community.
As we welcome Cynthia, we would also like to extend our most sincere?thanks to our outgoing Treasurer, Kris Elinevsky.?Kris has served as treasurer?for over eight years; we are grateful for her dedication and leadership!
