Caution: Buoys Back On The River
Yankee Rowers, There are two "no wake" buoys in their usual spots a little downstream of the marina.? There is a "no wake" buoy in the middle of the river just upstream of the rail trail bridge. Also, about 1/3 of a mile or so upstream from the rail trail bridge, there is a red buoy in the river about 30-40 yards from the bank on the Hadley side of the river. It's in line with the third set of docks on the Hadley side upstream from the rail trail bridge. (It's easy not to see it, and it's easy to hit it when you are rowing upstream if you're not looking for it. So, please keep an eye out for it.) Best, Ernie? |
