Don't take my word for it, I can only vaguely remember what was written in the interview. I seem to remember that it had something to do with the illuminated push buttons as well.

A while ago there was a report on a German synth collector/musician in KEYBOARDS magazine in which he described this problem. He had some decoupling capacitors replaced which fixed the problem -- maybe someone could look up more accurate details?

I recently decided to calibrate the filters of the master boards. Since the values on page 11 of the service manual are wrong, I made a few trials and finally chose the settings visible .? What values are you using when you do a complete VCF alignment? Perhaps one of you owns a copy of the service manual where the right values were added by a technician in the past? Yamaha CS80 FOR SALE
Well, I just got the CS80 and now I have to sell it due to lawyer fees. I figured I would post it here first. I'm having my engineer friend go through it to tune it up and adjust everything. I'm going to have him track down the volume issue and repair it before it leaves. I feel that the volume issue is only a minor problem. by the way , it's better to declare less than 50usd and usps .This might be problematic. I recently picked up a parcel at the customs with IG00151s from Doug. The officer asked me to open the parcel and wanted to see the content. He took a look at the chips, and his only question (with a smile) was: "For a monophonic or a polyphonic CS?" He knew the real prices without having a look at the bill.... Ok, that is custom Munich, not 20. Arrondissement. ;-) Florian |
