Hi , I am pretty sure that was my next move after my backwards fail.... swapping from 2 to one, and it did not work in mboard 1 but did when returned to 2... I may have taken out some other component because traces look ok...

? that's good... then I 'd first do a swap from another voice of your synth, since you already have confirmation of those that still work.
Then, you'll know if buying another chip will for sure fix it.
? would your vco chip be the more stable version or the original?? I had to add a diode for the newer IG00153 vco chips when I upgraded? all 16 m boards... can the older be dropped in (I have 2 spare cards) or do I have to remove the extra components?
? My guess would be you killed the IG00153 VCO chip. Try swapping it to another voice to confirm. I have the chip in stock if you need another one.?
