I’ve created a ?account and a new cs80 group and started the transfer procedure. ?I’ll keep everyone up to date with the status of it. ?After that, I guess people will need to join the new group.
?was started by the guy who created Yahoo Groups. ?It’s been around - starting in beta - for about 5 years now. ?Everything I’ve read about it looks favorable so it seems the obvious choice.

Thanks. I’ll be away from my computer until late tonight.??
?Hi David,
I’ve just downloaded all of the files and photos of the technical procedures etc... ?There’s a few pics of various owners keyboards and internals that I didn’t bother grabbing.
The conversation history will be around until December 14th but I understand the photos and files are about to be removed.
There’s a chance that we can view the site via the WaybackMachine archive, but the group would be essentially dead.
I’m happy to help if we don’t have a more tech savvy user to weigh in.

I looked into this a little. I see Bluehost has PhpBB but I don’t know what’s involved in setting it up and transferring this group. The??site advertises automatic transfer of Yahoo groups which is a huge advantage. However, how confident are people that it will be around for years?
Comments? Suggestions? Volunteers to help with the transfer and administer the new site?
