Hi to Laurie laurie, ?I have a way to check voice cards , as well as the propietary chips without allowing excess current to pass through anything. It's just an idea, but if you wanted to send a card to check , that's a possibility. I'm in LA, and am the guy currently running the unison mod for diy'ers you might have seen. If nothing is truly damaged, or if you want, I can also repair whatever is wrong, using your spare parts if you prefer. Anyway, without me doing that, you probably don't want to continue slapping parts in the card until you know more about the failure. Have you done the usual sensory checks, i.e. test for hot parts, smell, etc ? Nothing visually obvious or fatigued ? Regards Tim On Friday, October 30, 2015 11:45 AM, "laurie laurie@... I have an issue with my CS80....? I did a upgrade to the newer VCO chips about 20 years ago... and ordered 2 M boards from overseas with what I believe is the original Chips.... I remember having to move a diode (or add one )right beside the chip.... my problem is, during spring, I realized osc 1 bank one was down... Filter still showed up with white noise and Eg worked but no Sine or Saw or Pulse was audible.... well the idiot I am, installed one of the other M board osc Chips in Backwards ( I know right? ) FFS....? any Idea what I may have damaged in the process? if I try the replacement chip in the correct way, it interferes with Bank 2 (same osc)... leaving it empty allos osc 1 bank 2 to work....? and worst, Im in Winnipeg Canada..... probably the only local CS80 here.... (rumours there was another... ) Any Wise sugestions ? ---- On Fri, 30 Oct 2015 12:34:32 -0500 david@... [yamahacs80] wrote ----
