I'd be inclined to leave it powered up continuously if you can.

One CS80 that I service took about a month to settle properly once powered.

Stand wise, I'd say one of those heavy duty keyboard/mixer stands. Make sure whatever you use keeps the vents clear.

What's the best way to use the cs-80, is it ok to keep it running for 8-9 hours at a time in a well ventilated room , or should I turn it on and off as required. I know it takes a while to warm up etc..?

Also anyone recommend a good stand for it?

The grills underneath look like they have taken the weight of a stand from the previous owner..

CS should be OK.

to be safe you should overate your stepdown transformer, so you've got a nice bit of headroom.

Make sure that it's rating is for continuous, and not peak power.
I'd go for a 250W -300W continuous rating... that's probably going to equate to a peak rating of 500W-750W.

Just check it's output if there's voltage. If yes, you can check fuses in CS, but they are probably OK.?

And never leave electric devices on when walking outside. Especially with unknown machine you switch on for the first time. I'd never do such thing. You never know which problem can appear, maybe even fire. That would be expensive lesson.
