never assume it needs 'finals' that's? as i quite often see a CBers diagnosis..
it could be a driver, or even an ALC problem, or power to the devices issue..
just assuming might end up fixing it,

Hey Wes,
i have 2 FT-920. One of them produce RF spikes (the newer one). If you set the TRX to eg. 5W, the spikes will be full 100W.
The other one doesn't (the older one).
So best would be to measure
