This FT-301D is still being offered for sale.? I realize shipping is more expensive so I am willing to negotiate the deal.? It is boxed and ready to go.? See pictures in earlier posts.? Remember, the common display failure issue with these is fixed in this one with the installation of the complete replacement display board and components.? 73 to all.? K5INW,

Jim:? Thanks for your interest and questions.?
I will get some pix posted later today after I go out to the ham shack and turn the radio ON. I don't have a hard copy manual.? I d/l a .PDF off the internet.? Pics a bit indistinct compared to hard copy but the rest is quite useable. I will have to check for the presence of any optional filters.? I don't know if SSB has output because I have no microphone to test with.? There wasn't one with the radio when I got it.? I have inquiries out in my area to find one. I installed the Elcon replacement board and components and did the voltage and frequency calibration as well as the setup with the Philips remote I have with my Philips flat screen TV. I also have the original Yaesu board and display segments.? I may have some extra display segments around here somewhere.? I haven't looked for them since I installed the Elcon replacement. Hope this helps.? Bob |
Re: Yaesu ft301d FOR SALE
Hello Bob,
If item is still available, I am mildly interested. If you can send/post a couple of pics: front, back and top, we could start with that. You don't mention a manual or if there are any optional filters installed. I am assuming there aren't. It's not clear to me if you know whether or not there is no output on SSB or that you can't test because of no microphone. Did you install the Elcon, or was it there when you obtained it? Thanks, Jim |

Well Chuck, since I have no mic for it, I don't know about AM.? And I didn't try it on CW.? If you have confirmed yours doesn't xmit on those modes, I suggest you look at the IF UNIT, specifically Q403 and it's associated circuitry.? Also, it could be "dirty" contacts from the board to the main board.?

Yaesu ft301d FOR SALE
Bob Isselhard
I have an FT-301D for sale.? It receives all modes all bands.? This one has an 11 meter crystal in the AUX position? I have the original Yaesu power cord and plug but no microphone.? I see power out on RTTY and AM.? I have solved the very common display burnout issue with the $200 board and parts from Elcon that completely replace the troublesome digital display failure issue.? I can send pictures to you if you post here indicating an interest and give me a contact method.? I'm asking $250 plus shipping but that is negotiable within reason.? I have two many radios and will be liquidating them one by one.? It may need some more work but lets face it, the burnout of the display segments is the biggest drawback with these and that is solved.? I will check here every day for any replies. Thanks for reading?

Re: 200W power output !!! Is this OK?
Hi,
I would verify that your watt meter is reading correctly. Try another watt meter. Are you transmitting into a 50ohm dummy load? What type of power supply are you using? What is your DC voltage / current? What level on the radio is the meter reading during transmit? Michael |
200W power output !!! Is this OK?
Hello everybody,
My FT301 has an HF output of 200W on all bands... I suppose that is not normal. When i reduce the drive? (at half on the pot) the power goes down to 100W Is there an alignment to do? I didn't see anything about this in the manual. Thanks for your help an apologise me for my english... Best 73 |

The IF board schematic shows C428 present next to the CW Oscillator crystal and trimmer. Schematic shows a 39pF, but the cap I removed had 33K stamped on it.?

I do not found C428 at IF board.? The C428 is 39p.
