DIGI broken in 178?
Ah? I just test mind now and seem not getting digipeat Ve2pcq? Le sam. 1 oct. 2022 à 05:49, Demetre - M0SUY/SV1UY <demetre.sv1uy@...> a écrit?: Hi all, |
Hmmm... did it still work in build 177? I didn't make any changes to the digipeat logic in 178, but there were some changes in 177. Also, are you still configured for digipeating (i.e., digipeat aliases enabled and selected on your RF ports)?

Hi Andrew,
DIGIpeating on 177 works. Our local DIGI/IGATE MB7UXX is running version 177 in a Raspberry Pi right now! Yesterday I tried to upgrade it to 178 and after I did, DIGI was broke. Same happened to my LinuXmint PC at home when I upgraded to 178, no DIGI there either. There are also some problems with APRS messaging, but we will investigate about them and come back to you for these in the future! 73 de Demetre M0SUY |
On the failing systems, please export the configuration file to XML and email me the file, so I can check your configuration, and ensure something didn't "fix" your configuration to turn off digipeating.
Also, was YAAC doing the digipeating, or was DireWolf doing it? Hmmm... Per chance, did you recently change to running a cross-frequency digipeater with multiple RF ports? Or did you recently add I-gating? I found a possible bug in the digipeat/I-gate logic that might affect the problem if there are multiple destinations a packet could be sent to, but it's not new.

Andrew, Actually the build we use at MB7UXX DIGI/IGATE is the 11 August 2022 build, not v177 as I said before and DIGI works in it! So when we updated from this build to v178 DIGIpeating was broken. Sorry about the mixup. 73 de Demetre M0SUY |
For my part I have 2 receiver on different Antenna that are digipeated on only one RF transmitter. And I’m connected to internet. So 3 ports: Kiss Port1 RF - RX/TX Kiss Port2 RF - RX if TX send to Port1 Aprs-Is Port3 And after Built178 no more TX ve2pcq? Le lun. 10 oct. 2022 à 15:32, Andrew P. <andrewemt@...> a écrit?: Hmmm... But you didn't _add_ the ports after upgrading?
This is getting exceptionally weird. Please, each person that is having digipeat problems, please privately send me your exported current configuration. It sounds like something disappeared from your configuration that enabled digipeating and Tx I-gating, hence it no longer happened. No same setting for a wild… I just look and it is the Digi that stop retransmitting. If I Query with YAAC my TH-D72 the RF Port send the RF packet. Le lun. 10 oct. 2022 à 15:47, Andrew P. <andrewemt@...> a écrit?: But you didn't _add_ the ports after upgrading? |
