No.
Xpander/Matrix-12 has software generated modifiers (LFOs, ENVs,
VCAs) being too lame for percussive attack (bass) sounds.
Its the weak point of these machines.
You get the modulation capabilities and multimode filters for that
price.
Xpander & Minimoog D here too b.t.w. ...
