What a story !

I work w/ an Xpander as 1st owner since I buyed it new in 1987 replacing my OB-8 then.
Never had probs working in studios or touring international w/ it,- never had tuning problems til today and it sounds still good all day.
Tactswitches replaced, encoders cleaned and some caps in PSU replaced ...
Its a workhorse since 26 years,- well ...

Hi folks,

A few years ago, I bought my Xpander from America and imported it to the
UK. I noticed soon after buying it that the synth sounds better in 120v
mode.

I just want to recommend to anyone with tuning problems, in a country @
240v, tries the Xpander in 120v mode with a stepdown transformer of some
kind. EG:

But always make sure you set the switch at the back correctly, or a 240v
plugged into a 120v xpander would blow the fuse (though you can get the
fuses cheap from Maplin). I take no responsibility if this happens.

Cheers,

Jeremy.
