Have you changed your encoders already?
The reason I ask, ?This is how my encoders were behaving for awhile. (multiple
clicks per Inc/Dec) ?
Eventually? this got worse, so I pulled out my Oscilloscope and after some
checking, I found
the schmidt trigger chips, which de-bounce the encoder signals were failing.? I
replaced all of these
and it's?worked fine ever since. I have never cleaned em. And?they have
seen?some heavy use for years now.?

yup, its two clicks for me as well, and it?doesnt always happen, just seems
random.
