R1CBU firmware 0.27.0

Great job with the new firmware Georgy, very impressive. Any thoughts about adding wfview server like the stock Xiegu firmware in the future releases? Personally I think this would complete the 6100 functionalty.?

Regarding spectrum - I have some ideas, need some time to implement and check how it will looks.
For my point of view - birdies remains almost the same. But they helps to check how the strong signal will looks during development without plug the antenna))

I added wfserver as an idea to GitHub discussions -
Not sure that it will be implemented in the next releases.

Hi Georgy ,
?
A small note from me regarding Spectrum-Scope:
the center marker should be a bit more contrasting, more visible.
Maybe in a different color...?

Thanks for mentioning about the center line. I agree, a color would be nice.

Right now red color using for center line to indicate active recording. I'll think about how to make it more visible.

... I mean the bad visible scope-marker specially in CW-mode .

Georgy, I LOVE the new simple theme... much clearer for me, actually more beautiful. I have a request, though: Would there be a way for you to make the magnification of the frequency optional when tuning. I would rather the frequency remain the same size in the frequency line... That would make it easier for me to tune to a particular waterfall line — without the magnified frequency getting in the way. Please consider this if the code would allow it.
THANK YOU! 73, Randy K7RAN

Thanks you. If I understand you correctly, app already have this setting. It's called "Freq magnification" or something like this. Just try to disable it.

Aha, perfect, I found it ("Magn Freq") and turned that off. So great! Thanks again,

Dear Gregory I am having a great experience now with v0.27. The final piece that I would love is to have RTTY tx capability as I used that a lot for contests using saved messages. Is there any plan to add in future version?

Thanks
Scot?

Well, I guess it might be implemented) I'm not sure about the next release, though. I'm less than a year old ham operator and I never used RTTY. I need some time to dive into it.

Hi,
?
I have one "basic" question: how come that the frequency boundary numbers above the spectum display are not changing when I change the spectrum zoom to 2x,3x etc. It always shows about a 100 kHz badwidth - which is not true in case I zoom in.?
Am I overlooking? a setting somewhere?

Because the function is called "Spectrum zoom". But the boundaries (in numbers) are indicated for the waterfall.
73!

It's a bug. I forgot to add a logic for change these values if waterfall is zoomed.

Hi Gregory,
?
I took the x6100 with 0.27 out into the wilds yesterday and had a great activation! This FW is truly improved so much mate. Thank you so much! 14 FT8 iso in 45 minutes on 20 & 15m using a random wire in a tree with no matching, just wire and internal ATU. Got home, popped the SD card in my iMAC and had logged the entire activation in under 2 minutes. Brilliant!

Thanks, Scot, for the report. It inspired me to finally test out the R1CBU FT8 app and I am very impressed with the functionality.
Looking forward to trying this out on my next park activation!

Just curious if anyone knows, are there any other rigs with this "stand-alone" FT8 capability or is this unique to this rig & this firmware?

Even more unique is the “DX-FT-8” tablet-radio for FT8 only. Smaller, lighter, but less than 1 watt in high power. But is all in one. Only things you need is a DC source and antenna. Look it up onGitHub.?

This information is only presented to answer your question. This is a prebuilt (mostly) two board semi-kit.?

Well, I operated my first x6100 FT8 app POTA activation yesterday and it went great! Thank you, Georgy, for all your amazing work on this alternative firmware!
The QSO process ran smoothly tho' I did need to remember to turn the MFK knob to keep current on the display view.
The power and ALC numeric display is very helpful. Only wish list item is a running QSO total count display from the log if possible.
