Full Install ( not just running from an SDCard)

 

Hi Folks,

I have done some searching but can't seem to find a procedure, if at all possible,? for doing an actual install rather then just burning and running from the SDCard.? Can someone kindly point me in the right direction ?

If a full install is actually possible are you testing using the full install or just from an SDCard ?

The latest version with the simple theme is truly excellent, hence my question about a full install..

Not possible.??
 

Some of the features (like base firmware update) is not implemented on the alternative firmware. In case of just replacing original MAIN firmware we will loose these features.

Hello!

AFAIK officially this is not possible, without further work. I created a linux-docker based frame work to mangle both known firmwares into multiboot image including the option to flash it to eMMC.
* Currently known working original Xiegu and R1CBU.
* DB2ZW invested some time to move it to 0.28.
Multiboot is selected while turning the TRX on by hold on one the Buttons below the display until the correct bootlogo/boot msg appears.

Addtionally it includes some amount of work to replicate a build environment for R12CBU/R12FE firmware.
