New OFFICIAL firmware from Xiegu
Roy Whitehead
The file is actually named? Release-Note-240904002.zip.
?
Inside there are 2 files A releaseNote and the sdcard.img.
Just unzip the file. Burn the sdcard.img wiuth Rufus. Insert the card Let the radio boot up , it will find the firmware on its own. Then reboot, making sure you are plugged in to a wall socket. Then you can do the Base Firmware update as well ( System Settings-FirmwareUpgrade->Udpate) You must be plugged in for this too work ( I was using the wall socket but it might also work with an external battery) For the moment no problems or any major changes that I can see.? The Release Note file explains the upgrades as follows. 240904002 Release Note

Trevor, here¡¯s an official Chinese Xiegu website: And here¡¯s a direct link to new firmware they published recently: I¡¯ve successfully installed it on my x6100. So far, I have no comments. At first glance I can confirm, there¡¯s an option to disable audio scope in menu ;) Regards,73 Jarek SP9HGN W dniu pt., 6.09.2024 o 10:09 Trevorgoodenough@... via <trevorgoodenough=[email protected]> napisa?(a):

Hi,
?
I have installed this new version, hoping that BT speakers would work. Just tested it: it pairs and connects, but no sound coming out of the BT speaker. It's a shame, it would be a useful feature...
There are no major changes as I see, except the option to disable the audio scope - which works,

There's a lot of room for improvements, but all things considered, it's nice that Xiegu is still supporting the X6100.

My x6100 has this issue. No RF power output in any mode after upgrading the BASE version to the 4 Sept 2024. Reverted back to the 7 Mar 2023 version and RF power is working. I've tried switching between the prior and current release and the symptoms are the same. I tested with and without TX-F enabled and that didn't change the lack of TX power on the new 2024 firmware version.
?
With App version 4 Sept 2024 and Base version 7 Mar 2024, the transmit RF power works normally.

Just one thing to clarify: Have you updated both APP, and BASE? (BASE your updating simply by putting SD card to slot and booting device as usual, and APP you¡¯re updating afterwards, by executing upgrade procedure from GEN / System settings / Firmware upgrade.) It¡¯s important to do both! W dniu pt., 6.09.2024 o 16:03 Terry Bartholomew NQ4Y via <terry=[email protected]> napisa?(a):

Hi Jarek,
?1. Booted the X6100 with the 2024 firmware on the SD Card to upgrade APP, then updated BASE via the Firmware Update menu option. That is the scenario with no RF output power in any mode, including SWR scan.
?2. Booted the X6100 with the 2023 firmware on the SD Card to downgrade APP, then updated BASE via the Firmware Update menu option. RF power is restored.
?3. Repeated Step 1, exact same symptoms.
?4. Repeated Step 2, works again.
?5. Booted from 2024 firmware SD Card to upgrade APP to 2024 version. Did NOT upgrade BASE this time. RF power works fine.
?
I concur updating both is important however BASE 2024 has no RF output power. Hopefully Xeigu will have a patch soon.
?
thanks!

One thing I would suggest is a full reset after the 1.1.8 FW update. It may not make a difference. It did not, as reported by one person with the same issue.
Also please make sure that during all updates/tests you're using a 13,8V power supply, ATU off and a 50 ohm dummy load.
BTW, how old is your X6100?

I have an X6100 I acquired in Oct 2023, and I had the "no-tx-power" problem when I upgraded both APP and BASE. Also no power on R1CBU. I tried the factory reset in stock firmware to no avail. I was noticing some nice "listening" features, like it smooths that jump in RF Gain between 63 and 64. I had to go back to the previous March 2023, 1.1.6, BASE, and now it works again. That's disappointing. On Fri, Sep 6, 2024 at 11:30?AM CT2HME via <joao.cunha.lopes=[email protected]> wrote:
