I guess, it might be due to overloading radio input with a strong AM stations. You can try to use a BCI filter. For example - this /g/xiegu-x6100/topic/k9dp_qrp_bci_filter/102162571

Hello, thanks for your thoughts. It was just the solder joints that came loose ¡ª the socket is intact. What had me worried was that resistor. Now I¡¯ll try it with a 1k ohm and see how it goes.
