Re: Total NOOB question
I think that for the money the X6100 is a very good value. The issues I’ve
had with it are nit-picky at worst. The basic functionality is “there”.
I’m not selling mine no matter how cool the

Re: Total NOOB question
Sorry to hear that.
I think it is good radio, not great, but good. If I had the money to pay 3x
the amount (almost $1500, last I looked) for the IC-705, I would probably
get that. But I am retired,

Re: Total NOOB question
David,
I prefer to stay with the firmware from Xiegu that comes with the X6100.? My main interest is CW operation.? Some want other features like BlueTooth remote operation and I think other OSs

Re: Total NOOB question
I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I can’t deny that numerous other
owners have experienced battery/charging issues as well. This issue seems
to have been on the increase in recent months.

Re: Total NOOB question
I'm a nay-sayer...
While the radio is "ok" as it's designed, it still is a long way from
trustworthy.
Mine had a battery failure (the radio's weak spot, the power supply) and
the charger doesn't

Re: Total NOOB question
You will have fun with your new radio!
Ignore the nay sayers, read solutions on groups.io and ask questions if you need help.
I bought an inexpensive Microsoft Surface Go just for field use. Easy

There are numerous solutions. I picked up a MicrosoftSurface Go for $100 in Huntsville last August. I use it for my portable ops, logging and digital work. It can be charged of necessary via

Re: Tuning parameters
It depends on the firmware. Mine has the ability to configure for different antennas and then simply switch to the desired antenna without re-tuning.

Re: Tuning parameters
That's correct. Just like on the g90 the radio remembers all your tunes on a particular antenna. If you change antennas then you must do a retune. Also remember that not only do you need to tune on

Re: New version 0.19.0
#R1CBU-Firmware
Hi Oleg
I think I know the answer,
Is it possible to do a EQ for the mic input,
As the tx filter is 2.5 cutoff,
I could see this in the SDR RSP Due, or do I have to do some filtering in
the mic
