Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

Command from x6100_webserver is for developers mostly. So, if you want to launch it on your PC - you may execute these commands.
If you want just use webserver, that already launched on the radio - just open in your browser. Of cause, your radio and phone/pc/mac should be connected to the same network.

Re: ft8 log

If your X6100 is connected to wifi - open go to "File Browser" and download ADI file. You also can use radio IP address (from the WIFI screen) instead of `x6100` in the address.
Or you can turn off the radio, insert SD card to the PC/Mac and copy file from the DATA partition.
Sometimes Windows assign a letter only for the first (BOOT) partition. If you see only one partition in the explorer with boos.scr and 2 another files - open partition manager and manually assign a letter to the DATA partition (3rd on the SD card)

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

Georgy,
For not running the?
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -e .
The x6100_webserver was installed into /usr/bin and it runs with the
x6100_webserver --db params.db command and I can connect to the webserver from my PC.

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

Looks like you are trying to launch webserver on the X6100. It's already installed and running, you can just open in your browser.

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

Georgy,
When I run the "python -m venv .venv" I get an error: Error: Command '['/root/.venv/bin/python', '-m', 'ensurepip', '--upgrade', '--default-pip']' returned non-zero exit status 1. The directory .venv was created but not completely populated as there is no "activate" in the .venv/bin directory, just some python links.

ft8 log

With R1CBU how do I download my logs to my computer.? I'm not sure where they are??
Thanks in advance,

Re: X6100 alternative firmware v0.28.0

When Xiegu came out with the 6100.....it was ok.

But now, Georgi has taken a diamond in the rough, and polished it....and keeps polishing it to a sparkling diamond.

I call mine the Georgi 6100. That's how much I enjoy the radio.

And thanks to Oleg also.

Re: Root access after firmware update.

Edited

Big thank you to everyone who helped. Radio not plugged in was the issue.
I now have better audio. I was on the verge of buying the Yaesu FTDX-10 for its enhanced transmit audio but am happy with this modified firmware so can keep the x6100.
The radio has the latest V1.1.9 APP and I can confirm the modified firmware works great with it.
If there is anything I can do in return I'll be happy to help.
Thanks again!

Re: Root access after firmware update.

Roy Whitehead

Are you plugged into a power source, it's necessary, if not the radio switches off.

Re: Root access after firmware update.

Thank you for the extra info.
Managed to get file copied.
The only remaining issue is when I select the new firmware and select upgrade, The radio instantly turns off. When I switch it on the upgrade was not done.
Any ideas?

If external keyboard is not attached - on screen keyboard should appear. Perhaps, you need to unplug keyboard and reboot radio.

Radio have no touch screen. To type a password for WIFI rotate MFK knob to select a character and press MFK knob to enter.

Re: R1CBU firmware 0.27.0 WATERFALL station labels

I guess it's possible. Not sure about how to draw it better - device screen not so big.
My concern is about source of frequencies and names. doesn't allow to retrieve a whole list, also it has a limit of requests.
Perhaps, using information from will be enough.
