Re: Heat sinks do work.
With the x6100,I use the 20ah battery from my go box with a 9vdc output dc/ dc inverter. Pulls 10 watts with no problem with 9vdc. Just remember to turn off charger in radio.

Re: Heat sinks do work.
Also, I seen a recommendation to reduce power voltage to 10-11v. It should be still enough even for 10W output, but with less heat. I bought DC->DC converter, but still not check it.

Heat sinks do work.
I saw a post a day or two ago where someone posted a link to a pair of stick on heat sinks on Amazon.
I bought a set, they fit perfectly and work great. ? The radio is staying just warm to the touch

Re: R1CBU FT8 Lock-Up
Thanks for the comments ¨C I tried to transmit but there was no output on any modes. I then re-booted the rig into its native firmware with still no output. I then reset the X6100 to factory settings

Re: R1CBU FT8 Lock-Up
Well, radio was switched to TX. I saw the same behaviour a few times. It
might be a bug in the BASE firmware or a main to base communication issue,
not sure. Did someone see such behaviour using

Re: .26 FW freq change
Hi,
I suppose it has to read parms.db to find out what the next/previous band is.
Maybe a faster sd card would help.
The factory firmware doesn't have to read the ssd card, it probably has faster

R1CBU .26 slow freq buttons
Updated R1CBU to .26 FW. I noticed that the up/down frequency buttons on top are slow to change bands. Any ideas?

Am I right... I can just plug in one of my little usb GPS modules and have the radio set the time from that? ? Do I need to configure anything?

Yes, I use the external GPS, and it is my preferred way (looking forward to use the WiFi option also).
Just saying the TimeSync was an added value in some cases, like:
