Re: Xiegu x6100 in combination with XPA125B issue
What do you mean by ¡°inline¡±? ?A magnet is a magnet. ?The snap-on can allow you make a loop if you want to block even lower frequencies. ?I¡¯d be interested if people find using a torpid

Re: cat control help please
Those are baud rate communication settings not ports. Getting the port settings correct is another matter.

Re: Local Oscillator Leakage
I like my 6100 but I have to overlook it's problems. I haven't noticed terrible leakage on it yet but I purchased a G106 and it was so bad that I got it replaced and the new one has the same problem.

Re: New radio, heat mitigation
I have struggled with this issue from time to time. I did a park activation yesterday and decided to do it off battery, rather than the usual 12V car power. I went about 45 minutes with no noticeable

X6100 dc plug idea
I've been using my x6100 without any problems from my home with an endfed. Come camping season, I'll pack it and use it at the camp with a shorter 20-40 endfed. I'm sending this tip to you. I'm

I feel your pain Jerry¡ literally. I can¡¯t read a printed page or make heads or tails of my cell phone or any radio screen/front panel without my glasses anymore. Thankfully my vision is still

Re: Total NOOB question
I agree with Lisa on what she said, except this old guy can't see the stock GUI very well for the important things: like whether I'm on USB LSB or USB data, and whether I'm on 10w or 5w. Its hard to

I use 19200 and which ever is the higher of the two ports, dont forget to set your audio settings to the x6100 USB and not the speakers of your computer

Re: Local Oscillator Leakage
No, not everyone. Depends on the input mixer circuit. For example, mcHF and its clones have a mixer on a multiplexer and do not have such a problem. I tested on TRX Eagle and TRX Amber.

Re: Local Oscillator Leakage
This issue is a bother with all radios using "zero IF". Even the Elecraft KX3 has the same issue. Elecraft was aware of this and introduced a "low IF" of 8 kHz switchable alternative, which

Re: Local Oscillator Leakage
This is a known issue that Xiegu has elected not to fix? I assume then, that all of the X6100 exhibit this issue? Jim

Re: Portable vertical antenna suggestions
The antenna I've been using for /p work for several years is a simple, 66-ft. doublet fed with twisted-pair wire. Up until this year, I would find a way to hang it from a couple of trees and operate

Yep. First thing I noticed while comparing receiver sensitivity (by ear) ¡®tween the ¡®6100& a IC705 on 10m. The ¡®6100 was on the 4BTV+ in the back yard; the ¡®705 was on a 100ft LW & tuner in
Re: New radio, heat mitigation
As KC3JJH mentions, there is a menu option for disabling charging during operation. The R1CBU firmware added a "shadow" option to the charging menu that disables it during operation, but allows it
