Re: Modified BASE firmware - rev2
Hi.
I added some controls for compressor (threshold, makeup gain offset), also - control of output signal level. Hope last will solve issue with no output power (actually - very low output power), but only with using R1CBU. I'm adding all this things to R1CBU.
Adaptive notch filter also works well. Current algorithm uses gradient descent to determine frequency to suppress. Regarding pseudo stereo output - I guess this achieved with some kind of reverberation, or, at least - with stereo echo. But it might be impossible to do it within X6100, if it uses mono output. I mean that we need to have a 2 separated channels from audio codec to headphones output.

Re: Modified BASE firmware - rev2
Hi Georgy!? How¡¯s the work going on releasing the patched version of base?? I recently browsed the code in your x6100_base_path repo and was wondering if there might be a way to play around with processing the output audio there? I used to have an Elecraft KX3, which had a DSP option called AFX (audio effects) ¨C it created a spatial illusion, introducing a sort of pseudo-stereo effect to the monophonic signal. I¡¯m not exactly sure how that effect was achieved: whether it simply reversed the phase of the audio signal in the right and left channels, or perhaps introduced slight delays between both channels¡ anyway, I liked this effect very much. In my opinion it was improving rx reception somehow. When I get some free time, I¡¯ll try to tinker with your changes in the base firmware repo. Good luck with development ¨C we¡¯re all waiting for the new binaries!? 73 de Jarek SP9HGN!? W dniu sob., 3 maj 2025 o 09:59 John Claridge 2E0JJC via <2e0jjc=[email protected]> napisa?(a):

Re: Winlink Setup problem
#Digital
Actually figured out my own problem once I was more awake. The radio got put into split mode. So now I know what that looks like.?
?
I'm leaving this open and not deleting it in case anyone else who's new to the radio runs into this.?

Winlink Setup problem
#Digital
I just bought a x6100 to upgrade from the truSDX I had been using.?
?
I'm noticing when I transmit, either with Winlink or JS8Call, it's flipping over from A, where I am on the right frequency, to B which is definitely not. I've checked out multiple videos and articles on getting things setup and things look fine. I'm hoping someone might know what I have mis-configured. One reference I found said to make sure XIT/RIT are both set to 0, which they are.?
?
I'd appreciate any help someone can give.?

Just unboxed, no receive
In my experience, sometimes the UI board boots up, but the radio board doesn't. When you turn on the radio, press and hold the power button for a long second. You will usually hear 2 clicks as both boards start up. On Mon, May 5, 2025, 9:47?AM Adrian EI9HAB via <connor.ado=[email protected]> wrote:

Just unboxed, no receive
Hi All
?
Just got one today. Have run into an immediate no receive issue. Have tried multiple antennas with no success. I haven't attempted Tx. Is there a thread on here about trouble shooting this? I don't have test equipment. Have included a pic of the installed firmware version.
?
Many thanks in Advance

Hi Georgy Which file did you "bake" the adaptive notch filter into? Was it a v1.1.6/v1.1.8 base file or v2.9.2. I am not sure which one I should load to get this feature. Many thanks. 73 John On Thu, 1 May 2025, 15:59 Georgy Dyuldin via , <g.dyuldin=[email protected]> wrote:

Just baked firmware with an adaptive notch filter -
I should check and, perhaps, tune some parameters, but seems it works.

Just not sure, how to make it available for OEM GUI application. I guess, that total replacement of the manual DNF is not a good idea.
I can, for example, turn it on, if DNF is turned on and center frequency is 100. What do you think?
