TX not working with FT8
My X6100 stopped TXing when using FT8.? I've tried WSJTX and MSHV, using FLRIG and Hamlib.? I've also tried Factory Reset and reinstalled the 1.19/1.18 firmware from Radioddity.? Any suggestions???
?
Has the R1CBU firmware solved this issue for anyone?
?
Thanks for any help!? Tony KE1TLG |

Well, I operated my first x6100 FT8 app POTA activation yesterday and it went great! Thank you, Georgy, for all your amazing work on this alternative firmware!
The QSO process ran smoothly tho' I did need to remember to turn the MFK knob to keep current on the display view. The power and ALC numeric display is very helpful. Only wish list item is a running QSO total count display from the log if possible. -- 73 DE K1TAP |

Maybe someone can answer… What are the advantages for updating the official firmware to 1.19? I typically use the R1CBU alternative software, so would upgrading the official firmware provide any benefits?

I wish I knew how to program.? Bluetooth keyboard messaging via JS8Call would be cool but the "heartbeat" alone has utility.

Georgy, I know you get a lot of suggestions but have you thought about JS8Call??

开云体育?Hi, after several unsuccessful attempts, I -in total distress- just unplugged 12V mains plug during one more attempts to reboot and rebooted the 6100 running on battery. It worked.? 6100 rebooted and now it boots reproducably into the updated firmware… Although I do not know why this happened in the beginning and why it was solved and I cannot recommend this method to anybody, I am surprised and happy that it finally worked. So, we can close this issue … thanks to everyone who read it meanwhile and possibly answered to it…. sorry for my clumsy english.? Best regards and again thanks to all. Try to push the power button for 10 seconds or more. This should power off the radio completely. Then turn it on (without SD card). вт, 10 дек. 2024 г., 22:00 Rolf.trossen via <Rolf.trossen=[email protected]>:

(Official) firmware update to 1.1.9 - severe error (bricked rig?)
#firmware
Hi,
I just tried to upgrade the FW from installed version App ? ? V1.1.7 Aug 25 2023, 15:09:46 BASE ? ?V1.1.6 Mar 07 2023, 09:57:03 to? APP: V1.1.9 Sep 14 2024,12:11:57 BASE: V1.1.8 Sep 15 2024,15:22:37 ?
I followed the instruction published by XIEGU and by radioddity and so formatted an SD-card (16GB), inserted it into the X6100 (connected to mains) and switched on..
?
Boot from the card seemed to work (text prompts appeared like expected) and the display then announced a system shutdown like "3sec...2sec...1sec ... 0sec"
After this I powered off the rig.? I then removed the SD and restarted the rig. But the display remained dark (the green LED is on) ... since several minutes no change. Any attempt to re-boot with a new writen SD card carrying older or current FW versions are without success. The LED starts to steadily glow green, but the screen remains black,
?
I am afraid that the rig is bricked...
Can anybody help me please?
?
Best regards!

I can confirm that Justin (@ratmandu) had a similar issue and was able to fix his x6100 using the method described by Franco (flashed the decrypted x6100 firmware to 0x8020000) along with a simple STM32 bootloader that he wrote (simple bootloader flashed to 0x8000000). Justin gave us his simple bootloader for others to use as well, which is now downloadable from along with some instructions. If you need a new STM32 chip, I believe you’d be looking for a? STM32F427ZG for about $17 + shipping/handling? On Mon, Dec 9, 2024 at 1:19?PM Franco Venturi via <fventuri=[email protected]> wrote:

The encrypted STM32 baseband firmware is a file whose extension is .xgf in the '/usr/firmware' directory in your X6100; for instance the one for the latest version is called 'X6100_BBFW_V1.1.8_240915003.xgf'.
You can also find it in the sdcard.img file from a Xiegu X6100 upgrade zip; it is in the second partition under '/usr/firmware'.
