Re: R1CBU firmware 0.27.0

I imagine if one had all the time in the world to code variables one could have the GPS location or maybe even better the grid square (which can be set manually or by GPS receiver) determine what the user's spectrum parameters would be.

Regarding spectrum - I have some ideas, need some time to implement and check how it will looks.
For my point of view - birdies remains almost the same. But they helps to check how the strong signal will looks during development without plug the antenna))

Re: Full Install ( not just running from an SDCard)

Not possible.??

Setup the handie keys

?
I have set my handie keys 1-8 to be 1.8Mhz to 24Mhz. They all work well.? ?However nothing happens when I try to set key 9 to 28Mhz and also the key marked 50Mhz.? ?Do I have a faulty handie or is this normal?

Full Install ( not just running from an SDCard)

Hi Folks,

I have done some searching but can't seem to find a procedure, if at all possible,? for doing an actual install rather then just burning and running from the SDCard.? Can someone kindly point me in the right direction ?

If a full install is actually possible are you testing using the full install or just from an SDCard ?

The latest version with the simple theme is truly excellent, hence my question about a full install..

Cheers

Re: help please version 27 of r1cbu- a second new feature i love but somehow disabled

hello- one more feature somehow got accidentally turned off- when scrolling up and down the band, must be new feature also- mode will change from ssb to cw when you get in the more used mode of the band. somehow i must have disabled it. love the feature- how to re-enable it ?and how to disable it if no longer wanted- every radio made should have that feature

Re: R1CBU firmware 0.27.0

Just a message to say thank you for your outstanding work on this! I am amazed at how well 0.27.0 is working (and looking!)? for me. The new color theme looks great. Maybe we could choose the spectrum fill color in the future too?
Was anything done to reduce the birdies? For some reason, my X6100 seems to have less birdes than it did before. Maybe a fluke, but I am very happy! Thanks again.?

Re: help please version 27 of r1cbu

I have no user manual, at least for now. I know, it might be hard for new users to know how to operate with this firmware, so I definitely should start writing instruction)
Regarding CW filters - they are symmetrical about key tone. If you tune station correct - your TX tone will be very close to distant station tone and low/high filters will be on almost the same distance from your both frequencies.

Re: What power level do I dare use for SSTV

I've tried a few DC to DC stepdown transformers, but this one is what I use now. It's finned, no static and runs cool. Perfect 9vdc output from 12vdc battery. And x6100 runs 10 watts no problem with heat.

help please version 27 of r1cbu

looking for changes in printable form- (user manual )
been trying to narrow down bandwidth on cw but keep the tone at or around 750 - i change change the lower and ?high filters and narrow ?ut not centered on the beat frequency i listen to.
i have the total operating directions for version 20- but i see some are the same but would like to find the newest version with the changes

Re: Heat sinks do work.

Heat sinks on the back, and heatsinks with fans on the bottom. ? It runs slightly warm even with WSPR at 10 watts.
Input voltage is 13.6V

Re: What power level do I dare use for SSTV

I wonder about technical information though. ? If the radio runs just warm to the touch, why worry about the power. I assume the components are rated for 10 watts. ?Usually a manual would have a warning about continuous operation, but I don't see that in the manual for this radio.

Hi. I know. It's hidden by the next notification. Will fix in the next release.

I'm currently using my X6100 24/7 with 200 mW, driven by WSJT-X.

I also would like to run WSPR on the X6100 stand-alone...

Thank you so much for your work!
