Hi.

First of all - thanks for all, who provided a feedback of previous versions.

I switched to Github actions for build an whole image. Actual release available on the on GitHub. It's a full image, not the update.
?
You can preserve your configurations and changes:
* Copy params.db from DATA partition of SD card to some place BEFORE flashing new image
* Flash image
* Boot transceiver with inserted SD card, then poweroff
* Open saved params.db with any sqlite3 software (e.g. ) and execute SQL

UPDATE memory SET val = 3 WHERE name like "vfoa_mode" and (id >= 100 OR id < 300)

* Insert SD card back to the computer and replace params.db on DATA partition with saved version

How to change callsign on the Russian firmware

Hi.
As the above title says, how do you change the Callsign on the FT8 firmware as the card I have is from the radios first owner with their callsign. Any help appreciated?

Re: Wrong signals on the bound of the waterfall/spectrum.

I confirm behaviour with strong signals on edge of spectrum - mirror appears on other side. Observed several times (mostly with wide spread digital signals). It didn't bother me since it`s not the only Xiegu strong signal filtering problem I observed. In AM band (especially after sunset) I receive strong 1530 tuning to 510, strong 1593 tuning to 531 etc, ie receiving 3x freq. But `3x freq scale` is opposite: from right to left - 3x waterfall traces are moving in opposite direction then real 1x when tuning up/down.

Re: IMPORTANT! WITH LAST FIRMWARE THERE IS A PROBLEM - THEY SAY STAY AWAY

I used Balena Etcher on a MacBook to burn the image, and I had no problem.

Re: R1CBU firmware 0.23.0 Download Source

Dear OM Greg,
?
Thanks for the confirmation, and all the hard work. From one dev to another I know how much time this takes.. I wish I had more time to contribute! I burned months on the uSDX project in 2018/19 which I think was worth it, but a bit tight on time at the moment.?
?
Thank you again and I will keep a watch on the repo for updates etc. Anything I can do to help I will.

Works fine first time here with Balena Etcher, which I always use for burning ISO's.

Re: A.C. Charger for x6100

Pay attention to DC plug dimensions. Compact 12V DC supplies may have 5.5/2.1 mm plug while Xiegu requires 5.5/2.5 mm.

You don¡¯t need any particular model, just one that puts out the required power and voltage. ?I actually use a little power supply when it¡¯s on my desk, so that I can run it continuously. ?It¡¯s an old radio shack 3 amp supply. ?Just make sure your power supply is 12 volts max, to keep the radio from overheating.

Wrong signals on the bound of the waterfall/spectrum.

Hi.
I always knew, that strong stations close to + or - 50 kHz from central is shown on the both sides of the waterfall/spectrum. I performed a test with a CW tone generator.
Generator freq is 21.200. When tuning to ~ 21.250 peak jumps to opposite side of the waterfall/spectrum and continue movement at least until? 25.262. The same behavior when tuning to opposite direction. So, when I tune my radio to 21.200 (for example), region (-50 ... -40) on the spectrum/waterfall shows me a sum of signals from 21.150 ... 21.160 (correct range) and from 21.250 ... 21.260 (incorrect range). Same for +40 ... +50 region.
I recorded a video -
On other bands the same (I checked 40m, 20m, 15m, 10m). Also, it's not related with the GUI app - I tested with R1CBU firmware.

The reason might be a not enough filtering signal before ADC, or something else.

My question is? how much devices has the same behavior?

If it very common - I'll exclude boundary regions (10 or 12 kHz) and scale remains data to full width on R1CBU FW. This way waterfall/spectrum with zoom level 1 will cover ~80 kHz, instead of 100kHz, but without annoying wrong signals.

I have already answered this question many times. The plans included a range editor so that everyone could set it up as they wish. Perhaps Georgy will implement this in this firmware.

Spectrum beta is not really speed, it is averaging.

Re: R1CBU firmware 0.22.0

Oleg, what you said may be the clue to my previous observations. I still use 2 SD cards: your`s 0.20.1 and Georgy`s 0.23r0 - changing and comparing. I love all Georgy`s new features, especially FT8 TimeSync and waterfall preservation between switching vfo or band, but his spectrum and waterfall speed is visually slower (maybe 400 to 800 side effect?). Lowering Georgy`s `Spectrum Beta` from 70 to 40-30 makes speed similiar but not the same. Also noticed Georgy`s S meter always shows background +S1 comparing to yours.
