Hi Can you Please ask Xiegu for The FM mode to be corrected and CTCSS Tones to be added , and mic TX EQ to be added in the Next Firmware as FM quality is not good?
Also add Bluetooth audio as the radio was Advertised with Bluetooth audio and sold as?having it, Most users Do want This fixed,
All of this working will help sales and make it a great radio as it should have been when sold,
Thanks Dave 2E0DMB

Re: Tuning parameters

Perfect. Thanks.?

Re: Total NOOB question

Terry,

There are numerous solutions. I picked up a MicrosoftSurface Go for $100 in Huntsville last August. I use it for my portable ops, logging and digital work. It can be charged of necessary via USB-C to the power connector with the right cable. It came with Win 10 S but I upgraded it cheaply to Win 10 Pro. Works very effectively tethered to my cell phone hotspot. Very small and lightweight.

It depends on the firmware. Mine has the ability to configure for different antennas and then simply switch to the desired antenna without re-tuning.

Re: Tuning parameters

That's correct. Just like on the g90 the radio remembers all your tunes on a particular antenna. If you change antennas then you must do a retune. Also remember that not only do you need to tune on each band but each band segment that you use. The memory easily holds all of the tunes that I use. That's one of the best features of these two radios.

This is not possible now. I already wrote that all DSP processing occurs in the BB processor. The firmware of which is still closed. There have been works to decompile it, but it seems to me that it will never be completed.

Hi Oleg
I think I know the answer,?
Is it possible to do a EQ for the mic input,
As the tx filter is 2.5 cutoff,
I could see this in the SDR RSP Due, or do I have to do some filtering in the mic end,
Thanks Dave 2E0DMB

Yes, it has arrived. I only tested it for reception, I did not try it for transmission. I plan to do this one of these days. Now I'm stubbornly trying to overcome the problem of loss of sound playback. So far no success.

But it is already clear that FM is received disgustingly. I once tried to transmit on FM in the CB band, and it was also very bad. It seems that the manufacturer did not check this modulation at all.
I can¡¯t fix it, because it¡¯s all in the closed BB firmware of the processor.

Lisa, I could not have explained it better. You are right on the mark when you answered Terry.

Just remember one thing, you never hear from the thousands who are happy with their x6100.

I'm satisfied with mine. Why not. Just made a 4,600 mile contact to Hawaii KH6 volunteers. Not bad at all.

Re: Setting up WSJT-X with the X6100 (CAT and USB Audio) #Digital #r1cbu

ttyACM1 is the cat control + PTT
and ttyACM0 is for using minicom to login to the x6100.

I used to use flrig and point all my digital apps to use flrig. But lately flrig hasn't been working too well for some reason. I don't know why. So ...

I found out that by using hamlib (latest version) EVERYTHING works.

It works for wsjtx, js8call, and fldigi

so:
$ rigctl -l | grep -i xiegu # shows all xiegu radios .. x6100 in particular:
3087 ?Xiegu ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?X6100 ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 20230109.4 ? ? ?Stable ? ? ?RIG_MODEL_X6100

$ rigctld -m 3087 -r /dev/ttyACM1 -s 19200 -C stopbits=1 &

then just use hamlib or rigctl in your apps: EVEN fldigi works.
