Re: Transverter?
Hi Bill We have always been able to use a Transverter with the X6100, Dave On Tue, 28 Nov 2023, 13:57 Bill, <sloper1@...> wrote: Now that we have the ability to use 2/440m on the radio with Oleg's firmware, can anyone recommend a transverter to use? |

I can't promise anything yet, but I'll think about what can be done. This is quite strange, because I turn on auto-translation subtitles and everything works for me. |

Oleg, I see this as an extra feature besides the automatic speed function. The way it works now is that with slow morse speed the software is always seeking for dots and dashes in the time between the send characters. ? Strange that you see this as a 'bad' idea? |

This is an absolutely a nice surprise. I have wrote the firmware to th an SD and successfully booted the radio. It is obviously to me a new radio, so I will need to read your documentation and learn how it works. It seems I am traversing memories, I have pressed the general menu key, I have pressed a button and heard RF Gain. I also heard a button announce RF Power, this seemed to speak it twice. But I really have no idea what I am doing, so just randomly pressing buttons. From what I can hear it is very promising. I really want to thank you for this. I will see what I can read and actually use the radio properly. Cycling though LSB and CW variations was really nice too. For a very small unit the latency is very limited. It is more snappy than I expected. On behalf of the blind community I just wanted to say thank you, so much. 73 Gena On 25 Nov 2023, at 13:38, Bill <sloper1@...> wrote:

SSTV
Hi? Oleg - R1CBU ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??
Just an idea... Have you ever thought to implement SSTV receiving feature to the firmware? It would be fantastic to have such a feature.... and to go even beyond... in case you attach a webcam, you could take a picture and send it as SSTV image .. :) Thanks for great job you do! 73, Pavol OM0WT |

May I ask just the opposite about the CW speed setting. I would suggest a possibility to set the CW receive speed to stay on a fixed setting besides the automatic feature as it is now. This way I can monitor beacons and slow NDB cw speeds as it does not decode as the X6100 is continuous searching between the dots and dashes at slow speeds like 9 WPM for example.I don't support the idea of making the decoder worse than it is (LOL). It's not just a matter of adjusting the speed, it also adapts to the ratio of dots and dashes (if you are working with a vertical key). I tested only at maximum speed (works up to 50 wpm), there should be no problems with minimum speed, there are no restrictions for this. Is the Bluetooth function fully working or is a Xiegu Firmware problemIt depends what you mean. Overall BlueTooth works. I connected a wireless keyboard and there are no problems with it. Sound is a little more difficult. Some things work, some don't. I need to deal with this. The main task is to make a GUI for pairing BT devices. |

Oleg thanks for a job well done. Love the new features.

Yes,?the decoder automatically adjusts to the speed. Try adjusting the filter width and tuning into the station more accurately. So that you can hear well. It will work poorly if several stations fall into the filter band - it will select the maximum level and this may throw it off. |

Hi Oleg, Have been listening to multiple CW stations but none of them decode anything useful. I assume that the TX encoder speed works independent of the decoder speed? Are there any settings I can try? |

Perhaps you are talking about returning parameters after updating the firmware? Then yes, they are reset to default values. In the future it will be possible to save settings and restore them. Also, I went to save some 60m frequencies but the band selector jumped from 40m to 80m.? Was 60m taken outIf I had $1 every time I answered this question, I would already be a millionaire! Another thing, is it possible to disable the automatic mode changes when spinning the VFO??? CW in the US is generally from 7000-7120, but the firmware switches to SSB at 7040 and is kind of a PITA since you have to switch back every time you roll up past 7040.
